Contents

Scenes

A Character may be in five (5) concurrent Scenes[1].

  • This total includes, Plots, Socials, Court, Clan, and Covenant meetings.
  • This does not include Comms or Shards.
  • Clan Prisci, Reeve/Deputies, and the Harpy are allowed +1 Scene (6 max rather than 5) only to accommodate their functions.
  • Tracker is used to monitor Scenes.

Signatures

If you've set everything up properly (which is required), only a few things need to be added to the signature line.

  • Effects which affect yourself such as Protean 1 or Blush
  • Effects which affect others, such as the Nosferatu Curse
  • Optional: Daeva Vice (if not in the signature, it must be in the Minisheet)
  • Optional: Traits such as Health, Vitae, Willpower and their current state (if not in the signature, it must be in the Minisheet)

Systems

Combat

  • Talking should be restricted to 1-3 syllables; any more (up to seven) will constitute an Action.

Resistance

Resistance is changed as follows:

Predators Taint

Predator's Taint is generally role-played versus rolled in social Scenes. We do ask that you be mindful of it; ignoring it repeatedly may necessitate a roll.

  • Taint rolls may also be called for in plot Scenes
  • When making Social Skill tests, modifiers are applied for Predator's Taint
Testing against a weaker Predator gains a +1 to the test pool
Testing against a stronger Predator penalizes a -1 to the test pool
Only tangible Predators modify rolls; for example, testing against a stronger predator who is Masked incurs no Penalty.
Use of Aspect of the Predator removes the penalty for testing against stronger predators.

Vitae Pools

This is a Vampire House Rule All Vitae expenditures in Scenes should be noted with Power Icons.

Average Vitae Pool

Blood Pool Base amount equal to Humanity -1 (for Rising)

Bonuses:

  • +2 for Rack access
  • Herd: +1 for ● thru ●●●, +2 for ●●●●, +3 for ●●●●●
  • +1 per dot in Haven (Location)
  • Coil of Blood 1: Blood Seeps Slowly: +1 for Resolve ● thru ●●●, +2 for Resolve ●●●●, +3 for Resolve ●●●●●
  • +1 Coil of Blood 3: Perspicacious Blood

Penalties:

  • -1 Glimpse of Feeding not written for the month (until 3 total written)
  • -3 Exiled to Barrens
  • -1 for every 2 Ghouls, rounded down

Hunting/Feeding Roll

Hunting / feeding rolls performed will net 1 Vitae per Success rolled. A Hunting Roll can only be made once per month to supplement the Average Blood Pool; otherwise, Feeding must be role-played or done via Glimpse. The month is counted per calendar -- not IC, Scene, or from the last Hunting roll. The Hunting Rolls are:

Willpower

Attributes

  • Attribute improvement is limited to one dot per month.

Skills

  • Skill improvement is limited to one dot per month.
  • Skill improvement is capped at a value equal to Resolve + 2. This represents that the top tier of self improvement in a Skill will require higher-than average ability to focus one's Resolve.
If your Resolve is ●, a Skill cannot be improved beyond ●●●
If your Resolve is ●●, a Skill cannot be improved beyond ●●●●
A high Resolve rating (●●●, ●●●●, ●●●●●) will obviate the Mentor requirement for improving Skills.
  • The following Skills have been House Ruled in some fashion:

Disciplines

Heightened Senses are part of the default Vampire template -- all Vampires have Heightened Senses.

There are rules for learning Disciplines:

  • In-Clan Disciplines (including Bloodline) require no teacher.
  • Out-of-Clan Disciplines (-not- including Clan 'signature') can be 'activated' by a character without a teacher. Each month, the player may roll Blood Potency; once they attain successes equal to twice the total 'dot' level of the Discipline being activated, they may develop/purchase it. The player MUST have the XP required to purchase it before they can begin rolling, and it remains 'in escrow' until the Discipline development is completed. Having a teacher skips this requirement.
  • Clan "Signature" Disciplines always requires a character teacher.
  • Clan "Signatures": Auspex, Dominate, Majesty, Nightmare, and Protean must be learned in-game from a teacher if the character is not a member of the Clan. They cannot be taken at creation and 'backstoried'.
  • Clan "Signatures": Auspex, Dominate, Majesty, Nightmare, and Protean can only be taught by that Clan's respective members.
  • Bloodline Disciplines are not teachable to non-bloodline members unless the text specifically states otherwise.

The following Disciplines have been House Ruled:

Auspex, Beasts Hackles, Cruac, Dominate, Dread, Gilded Cage, Heightened Senses, Monstrous Countenance, Mortal Fear, Obfuscate, Obtenebration, Resilience, Serendipity, Shatter the Mind, Spirits Touch

Devotions

Devotions may be developed by a character without a teacher. Each month, the player may roll Int+Occult*; once they attain successes equal to twice the total 'dot' requirement of the Devotion, they may develop/purchase it. The player MUST have the XP required to purchase it before they can begin rolling, and it remains 'in escrow' until the Devotion is completed. Having a teacher skips this requirement.
