Herd

From Edge of Darkness Wiki

Some vampires tire of the hunt and seek to develop a small group of mortals upon whom they can feed without fear. Such a herd may take many forms, from a brothel of prostitutes to a blood cult worshipping a vampiric god. These mortals provide nourishment without the difficulties of the hunt. Typically, herds are not very controllable or closely connected to the vampires who use them, nor do they possess great skill in any one area. (For effective agents, the Allies or Retainers Merit is more suitable.) Each dot of Herd adds one dice to feeding rolls.

Note: Per the Laws of the Domain, a Vampire cannot raise Herd above two dots without Hunting Rights lest risking discovery and punishment. This is not a House Rule, but an In Character consideration.

Vitae

Per the Average Vitae Pool House Rule, instead of adding to feeding rolls Herd dots add to your character's bloodpool at the beginning of each scene as follows:

+2 for ●●●●

+3 for ●●●●●
