With a drizzle of blood on a subject’s brow, the Pretty can change the way that mirrors, cameras and other refl ective media capture that individual’s visage. When seen in a mirror, photograph or onscreen from any kind of camera, a mortal’s form appears blurry or warped; her face is especially disturbed. Vampires, on the other hand, experience the opposite effect. They no longer show up obscured in mirrors or upon photographic media and, in fact, appear quite crisply.
