Mage

The Awakened of the west cost remember Sacramento, they remember it how it was: a thriving community of mages that had lived quietly for many years. Then there was chatter across the Aethernet of a new Consillium growing, the possibility of another Celestial Ladder or a way to mass awaken; that was when all communication ceased.

From the Golden Consillium and others around the world each order sent mages to investigate the disappearance of an entire Consillium, and to rebuild if necessary. These teams were headed by the Théarch, Peter Cartright. What they found shocked them.

There were no signs of the previous consilium. In their absence, Banishers had been becoming more bold, and were attempting to seize the city. The city balance was already on the edge, and the influx of new Mages to the city brought it closer and closer to it’s boiling point. But a small structure of power was erected for the Pentacle as their work continued.

Confrontations with roaming Banisher Cells became more common and the city took another dive for the worse when the Hierarch, Peter Cartright, was murdered. At the same time the Guardian of the Veil’s Epopt, Niles Plotski, was discovered to be a Cultist of the Doomsday Clock. Necromancy, Assassins, an Abyssal gate, and Obelisks in Twilight have claimed more than their share of Mages' lives.

In time Seers rose from their cracks again, and the Seer Vector enveloped Sacramento in the Abyss. Not all experienced the abyssal time, but those who do only remember it as a horrifying dream.

But time has passed, and the Fledgling Consillium of Sacrament continues on, growing and changing as it reaches towards it’s predecessor's goals. Mages from all edges of the world still feel a pull to the sometimes sleepy Capital of California. The Community is being rebuilt, from the lowest roots with the aid of the Golden Consillium. Most of the mysteries have been solved, but there are still questions to be answered, after all, no rebirth is easy.
