This was the second meeting of the Consilium, held at the Circle of Creation, which resulted in a change in how the Councilors were selected. For this Consilium, the Circle of Creation was decorated with banners, five depicting the sigla of the Orders and the other five depicting the Sigla of the Paths. The atmosphere was tense, with many mages having odd feelings around others or even vague memories of events that never happened, brought on by the Awakening Continuum.
As soon as Andrade called the Consilium to order, Curator Primoria asked that the Councilors be returned to their roots -- or chosen by Path, rather than Order. Andrade argued against the change, but allowed it to come to discussion.
This discussion, however, was interrupted as Rosh challenged Andrade to a Duel Arcane for the position of Hierarch. She defeated him soundly.
An Apostate began shouting insults toward the Consilium while standing by the door. Provost Ankh then challenged her to a duel to force an apology, this too resulted in a sound victory for the Consilium and Ankh.
The distractions dealt with, the discussion on Councilors resumed. It quickly became clear that nearly the entire Consilium backed the change. Andrade asked that the mages of each Path choose their own Councilor.
With the Councilors resolved, Dr. Primoria brought forward the disconcerting feelings and memories many had, and the theory that they were the result of an abyssal Intrusion. Discussion continued to the various threats facing the Consilium: the Tower Bridge, Vector, the Necromancer. Finally, the Councilors convened to appoint a new Herald and Sentinel.
