Mage

Welcome to Charm City. Put this bracelet charm on. Keep it on.

It's been almost three hundred years since the city was founded and became part of the New World. Nearly two hundred years since the claim of dominion over the New World was recognized and the fighting between the Eurasian and NorAm Awakened ceased. Long enough for Baltimore to become a sleepy little community trading on it's history and former glory.

It hasn't been long enough for the spirits to forget. Like the native population, the native spirits were untouched by "civilization". Like them, they were soon supplanted by the invaders. Not all.

The evil the men do is appalling. The good that men do is worse. An evil man might relent; might have a crises of conscience. The good man will never relent, because he knows his cause is pure, and just. So the spirits would crown a powerful young Thyrsus, Kaa, their prophet. Their King.

The ceremony was silent, and secret. The wanton slaughtering of mages was loud, and public, and began with Life and Prime adepts and masters. The Adamantine Arrow sent for help after being massacred in an ambush. A team of mages (including Kai and West) from all Orders eventually tracked Kaa into The Twilight, and defeated him and his conspirators. The spirits found themselves to be unwitting pawns as an Acamoth was revealed among them during the conflict.

Baltimore recovers, slowly. Led by Hierarch March, the reconstruction is overseen by Sentinels Kai and Uriel.

Still have that bracelet on? Good. It's to keeps the bad spirits away, you know.

Orders

Baltimore's Awakened population should be considered a dozen mages or less, with too few to support codified social structures for the Orders beyond a declaration of membership and personal goals.
