The Obrimos Path met at the Byzantine to party and (maybe?) discuss Path business.

Contents

Angel(s) of Harlem

  • Star opened the meeting with liquor immediately, busting out in an epic rendition of Angel of Harlem.
"It was a cold and wet December day, when we touched the ground at JFK. Snow was melting on the ground, on BLS I heard the sound of an aaaaannngel!"[1] -Star
  • Ixidor arrived next, joining the song and the drinking.
"New York City like a Christmas tree, tonight this city belongs to me. --Annnnggeelll!"[2] - Ixidor
  • The remainder of the Path arrived in quick order, the music just having finished in the air and the liquor beginning to flow. Patron Silver was A Thing that night.

Serious Business

  • Reverb made opening announcements, introducing the various luminaries in the Path, explaining that there were Banishers at Sacramnto State University who had killed a member of the Consilium, that there was a problem with a drug known as GLO, and most importantly, that there was much booze to be had.[3]
"El Patron, you wanna help me dish out shots?"[4] Reverb to Star
  • Orpheus requested help monitoring the ley lines in Sacramento, given the Path's affinity for the Prime Arcanum[5].

And More Angel of Harlem

  • Much flirting and drinking ensued after business appeared to be over. Ixidor asked Asp out to the Ace of Spades Restaurant to listen to music[6]. She accepted.
  • A serious toast to Angels occurred, which was followed by a rousing rendition of Angels of Harlem:
"LADY DAY GOT DIAMOND EYES!"[7] -Star/Ixidor
  • Most of the people who had been drinking got involved, and the song was legendary:
"Blue light on the avenue, God knows they got to you, an empty glass, a lady sings, eyes swollen like a bee sting!" -Asp
"You never looked like an angel, yeah, yeah, Angel of Harlem..." -Faith

Council?

  • Meanwhile, Weavebreaker and Leo Lockheart discussed the possibility that the Consilium may shortly be returning to a Path Councilor system. After Star and Asp made to leave for the night, Leo Lockheart tried to steer the meeting to get his Pathmates to select a Councilor then and there. Weavebreaker suggested it was too late:
"I hate to say it, but I think we kinda missed the opportunity to put it to a vote tonight..."[8] -Weavebreaker
  • Ixidor called Leo out for not bringing new, helpful ideas to the table[9]. Leo focused the discussion again on the Council seat, admitting to threatening Azure with violence and suggesting that it was time to pick a Councilor[10]:
"I'm not letting you evade the question a second time. Step up, or I will." -Leo to Ixidor
  • Star intervened at this time, shutting this down:
"It's not just between you two? And I'm with Weavebreaker. The one you ignored about voting? It's totally not for just three of you to decide. If, you know, things go down like that with the Councilors? Yeah. We'll all decide. Together. But seriously? Thanks for trying to skeeze everyone who left out, though. Especially Asp? Your own Order buddy? That was real cool."[11] -Star
  • Leo was upset by this:
"Fuck it. We all know who the Counselor would be, who has the best creds, and the best public image. Sorry for trying to talk about it before hand in case it became relevant."[12] -Leo
  • Ixidor left with one final note on the point:
"If the Angels call on me, I'm ready for it. But if they call on someone else, you better be goddamn sure they're ready for it."[13] -Ixidor

And with that, the meeting was concluded.
