Shortly after arriving in Sacramento, the Neidan cabal was summoned to meet with the Kruegans Arrowheads[1]. There had been one brief, informal meeting with the Kruegan's leader, Armadia, prior to that. After the first meeting there had been no contact with the Consilium or any of it's Mages, and the Neidan spent the time settling into the city and their sanctum.

They were surprised to approach the Arrowheads sanctum and see rogue Banisher elements staking it out, but even more surprised to be treated as if they had done something wrong. Ascending to the top of the sanctum and it's hallow, they were confronted by Armadia about an evening in which they had encountered Changelings[2]. Despite having duly reported the contact, Armadia attempted to further interrogate the newly arrived cabal.

In a misunderstanding of contact protocols, Armadia laid the blame with the Neidan, as well as suggesting the Guardians of the Veil would be involved[3]. West took offense at the tone taken and retorted, which led to him issuing a Duel Arcane challenge. Rather than a matter of pride, it was his belief that Armadia had lost sight of the Adamant Way in her struggle to retain her pride and position within the city.

Ultimately, West would prove to be the superior Mage, but ceded the Duel[4] to show Armadia that pride could be sacrificed, and was not a substitute for honor.

The Kruegans Arrowheads were disbanded shortly after.
