A gathering of Lost to celebrate the changing of the seasons. Autumn's chill giving way to Winter's solitude. And Katrin Byeli is to be crowned ascendant Sovereign of the Freehold.[1]
Happenings
- The Lost of Sacramento gathered in the throne room at the Four Seasons Hotel, as is common for this type of event. The place was decorated for the occasion, with a variety of ice sculptures depicting different fairy tale themes and other decorations of Winter motifs. The entire hotel's staff is there, but Katrin does not make an appearance until much later.
- The Spring courtiers huddled up in a corner and talked about the absence of their Queen, Alice White, and that they would need to meet at some point in the near future to decide who would take up the reigns in her absence. Otto Fischer also discussed the idea of the Spring Court holding its own version of the "Ash Run" in order to hunt down the traitor Enzo.
- There was talk about the traitor known Enzo amongst different groups, and also some rumors about gang activity in the western regions of the city.
- Terri Nutkins informed her husband, Rick Pereg that she would be closing down her clothing store, which certainly took him by surprise. However, he was able to recover from the schock just in time to turn over the crown to the ascending Queen.
- Mr. Bates finally called the Lost gathered together as the ceremony begun. King Spartan of the Summer Court and King Rick Pereg of the Autumn Court joined Katrin Byeli by the throne. The absence of Alice White was mentioned by the ascending Queen to her fellow monarchs, but the ceremony went underway regardless. The Ashen Sovereign crowned the Queen of Sorrow, and the changing of the seasons occured after a moment of silence.
- Finally, the new Queen concluded the ceremony by addressing the members of her Freehold with an important message.[3]
