August Official Court

Court began with a beautiful white Decorum held at the Avalon that was prepared by Herald Martha Villiers and Harpy Ariana Donovan. It was a busy night with many new people in our Domain as well as a few returning; some then leaving quickly. Alder Prince Asa Clarke and Judex Twist arrived in stunning attire which perfectly matched the setting for the evening. There were many vibrant conversations, some of which puzzled any one near them. Several of our cities beauties were dressed to the 9’s while a few others should probably check their sources. Alder Prince Clarke named Harpy Ariana Donovan and Deputy Conner Greyson as the new Regents of Florin. Many of our new arrivals spoke with some of our current Domain residents which hopefully let them become more acclimated within our city. The Herald was busy acknowledging several of our new residence along with the Harpy guiding them in the appropriate directions. Many conversations lead to forming new acquaintances to venture out into the city. As the evening concluded, Alder Prince Asa Clarke and the Good Judex Twist could be found dancing for the remainder of the night.

Around the Town

David Silver, Lance Rayner and Ricardo Rodriguez are still in the continuation of the Kindred sent on an investigation by Conner Greyson. One particular individual gave into the Frenzy which sent the others on the run to prevent total chaos. Unfortunately there were some human casualties along the way. Later a unknown Kindred was found tortured in a hidden chamber below. This also lead to the reappearance of Angelo Venceslas Rae Fioraventi la Della Vega de Vienna who was last seen at the Heat Party to which he had suddenly vanished.

It is known that a small, all female, squad of nomadic poachers, known as The Brides, have entered the Domain. The Brides appear to be causing a disturbance and have not sought to bring themselves to the proper attention of the authorities. A mission of reconnaissance to investigate and examine their lair is being established and tasked. A second mission to neutralize them will be tasked soon after. There are several people that were involved in the planning of this effort, those of which presented their ideas to Herald Villiers who thus contacted the Reeve. We hope that daunting task of organization will bring forth the retrieval of these poachers. None can trespass upon the Praxis of the Alder Viscount of Sacramento with impunity. There were also rumors of a lot of disorganization at this meeting, hopefully this will not happen again in the future.

In an effort to compile facts after the incident at the Chapter House, Max Heinz, Conner Greyson, Lance Rayner and Ariana Donovan gathered at the Avalon to discuss that evening and any information in regards. Mr. Greyson revealed a drawing found to see if anything could be made of it and possibly if it was related to the situation. This sprung forth a meeting with Martha Villiers, Conner Greyson, Ariana Donovan, Max Heinz and Jennifer Hazelton at the Mekhet temporary house in Florin. These individuals are currently compiling information found in hopes to find clues to other issues in the Domain.

It was a night of Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy at Club Ember with their Tribute to the Gold Rush festivities in Sacramento. A Paintball duelling contest was held with one of the winners being our own Alice Brown. Even one of our new residents, Castor Drake got involved in the contest. The club was decorated in a western theme and it seems the patrons got into the spirit of things by dressing accordingly. The evening seemed to be adventurous for all who attended.

Clan and Covenant

Circle of the Crone

The Acolytes of the Circle of the Crone gathered for the Autumnal Equinox held at the Crone Temple of the Woven Circle. The members David Silver, Chris Wooding, Bogdana Blazsanyik and Nao Zhong were in attendance for this fall ritual. Vala Chris Wooding was given approval to lead the Crone members in a unity ceremony. The Heirophant gave them all a gift as a reminder of the aspects of the Circle.

Lancea et Sanctum

The city's Lancea Sanctum met at Moore House to discuss the lack of Anointed Priests among them, resulting in an inability for the necessary sacraments to be performed. All Sanctified in the Domain attended, including newcomer Castor Drake, and prospective member, Josephine Powell. Sidor Grigoriev proposed that a Bishop be Anointed, to which Drake immediately supported the idea that Grigoriev should become Bishop. Dillon Connery, however, did not support the idea of a Bishop at all- he explained he would have preferred to be led by a Priest, rather than risk a layman's Anointing, which would not have been valid. Grigoriev explained that there was a wandering Cardinal who inhabited the desert nearby, and he would therefore seek him out to attempt to receive the Anointment to Bishop from him. He also told Drake and Connery to seriously consider taking Anointment to Priesthood, if he should return successful. Castor Drake and Dillon Connery agreed to give it consideration. Drake also added that he would like to create a library within the Moore House to meet the Sanctified's needs, which was recieved positively. Connery suggested that all members come up with a similar idea, for the good of the Lancea et Sanctum. Grigoriev agreed, but suggested that until such a time as the others had plans, it would be better for them to bond together in the building of the library. The intrusion that resulted in the death of the Neonate Auric was also discussed. It remains to be seen if the Sanctified will identify who violated their Church.

Nosferatu

A meeting of the Clan Nosferatu was called at the Ridge Motel to discuss the need to appoint a new Priscus. All members attended, including newcomers Castor Drake and Jennifer Hazelton. After brief conversation, Sidor Grigoriev, the Clan Whip, was appointed to the position of Priscus by a unanimous vote. He invited any candidates who wished to take his place as Whip to put themselves forwards. Doctor Josephine Powell was the only one willing to do so, and was voted into the position by Jennifer Hazelton and Castor Drake. Brenn Lawrence abstained, citing a lack of familiarity with her family. Following this, discussion of the assault on the previous meeting. Although the discussion became intense at times, a plan of investigation was eventually agreed on, and the Nosferatu left to search the Ridge Motel. Jennifer Hazelton spotted the numbers 11:43 carved into the side of the building, from a vantage point that overlooked the site of the attack. What this means, remains to be seen...

The Carthian Movement

The Carthian Movement seemed to be off to a rough beginning as there was miscommunication by previous hopeful Katrina Scherbotsky as she tried to request a meeting announcement. Harpy Ariana Donovan informed Jonathan Mclean that Lenny Pope had been contacted to put the meeting into action. Then the meeting started off with a message left by former member Leonard Pope. One only knows what message he was trying to convey with a rope and knot book placed in the meeting room. With the noose page opened from the book, Jonathan Mclean tried to take the reigns of the meeting. However, when Sarah LaFleur, Lance Rayner and Brenn Lawrence arrived things took a different turn. They went from electing a Prefect, to electing a spokes person and then to not even knowing if they were going to join at all. After a lot of back and forth discussion about the direction of the movement or nominating a representative, Miss Brenn Lawrence left the meeting. The three remaining individuals hope to accomplish something in the Domain and rebuild the Carthian Movement. Jonathan Mclean was nominated to be the spokesperson until they arranged a meeting at another site.
