To the Society of Sacramento:

Official February 13th Court

The Official February Court concluded with performances in competition for Tenancy. Harpy Alice Brown for provided the beautiful piano accompaniment to the duet of Mr. James Calloway and Deputy Dillon Connery singing Phantom of the Opera from the musical of the same name. Mr. Chase Ankers recite an excerpt from Network. Emma French played piano and sang Hello. Jose Matias delighted the Domain with a Capoeria demonstration, and Ciara Maskelyne sang Fading Like a Flower. The Seneschal and Herald convened to select the recipients of Tenancy and later announced Jose Matias and Dillon Connery as the new tenants in the Regency of Valencia. Of course, what’s a court without a few Faux Pas. Luckily none of them were worthy of banishment to the barrens that night.

Around the Requiem

From rising mafia’s to book shop customers discussing movie genres, we have seen it all this month. Too bad that the idealistic Francesco Giovanni was no match for Roxie Hart, who is on her turn no match for Arnold Culler. Yes, he showed up. Somewhat better organized were the couple of Carthian gatherings. First Tyler Archer and James Calloway brainstormed, another day they met with other possible members of theCarthian Movement. Unfortunately, they discovered only there that the ideas of Carthianism do not give much to be discussed about. Everyone fell silent…

Good to know is that the only place where that never will or can happen is Avalon. Ariana Donovan, the new Seneschal, had to switch offices. A most interesting scene developed when James Calloway stopped by and Yekaterina introduced herself to Seneschal Donovan. A lot of knowledge was exchanged, and when Jose Matias also appeared, they ended up talking about Valencia. They were sent to the Reeve to find out more about the Regency.

The Reeve, Conner Greyson, is a busy man. His office is not far from Miss Donovan’s, and multiple Kindred have visited it this month. Of course, Mr. Matias and Mr. Calloway, but also Jennifer Hazelton as the Invictus Notary and the Reeve’s assistant.

The Court also has the Herald’s office. Charles Black does not mind to have a most lengthy discussion with the Herald about his plans, and with her guard Deputy Dillon Connery as witness. Naturally, Martha Villiers has also welcomed the usual new arrivals in our Domain.

Now we should not forget all of Sacramento’s other locations. On the other side of town, all the dust seems to be finally swept away from the Chapter House. The Herald taught her slave Jonathan Mclean several things. Another day she was there too, with Max Heinz and Michael Redfill. They talked about knowledge, and how to keep it. The Grand Wyrm kept books, though the younger Kindred realized what computers could be worth. The ‘to be continued’ sign was inevitable. And indeed, after coming back another day with Chase Ankers on their side, computer work should soon be a lot easier.

The Dragon talk is even taken outside the Chapter house. At the Lily, Michael Redfill met with Drake David Drummond to talk about the Academy. Mr. Redfill also showed up at the Crone Temple. There, during the Spring Equinox of Joy, all Acolytes had gathered with some guests sitting at the outer circle. Hierophant David Silver leads the Rites of Joy, where they celebrate that they are not alone.

All the whispers here and gatherings there prove just that, we are not alone around the Requiem. Therefore, please follow me next to month to keep track of all the Covenants’ developments! The Woven Circle is celebrating its faith, the Sanctified have gathered, who knows what the other Covenants are up to?

Aid of the Domain

The Ring Rings a Bell

Lucky as they are, Tyler “B. Lorenz” Archer, Michael “Mr. Stringer” Redfill and Drake “Mr. Butler” Drummond find the big Hilliard Valdemar at the coffee shop. Among the handful of other customers is even the Doctor’s friend, good old Professor Jack Levine. The KCRA Kindred show the long desired interest in the doctor’s findings. One offers publicity, the other offers information, but in the end it turns out that the kind Professor Levine keeps the good knowledge coming. Because… did he just mention they see get the ring, in a few days? It can’t be that easy, can it?

Slicing up the Strangers

Twist’s shout through the night is soon followed by a stormy rain, due to Chris Wooding who sway the weather to their advantage with his ritual. Meanwhile Conner Greyson and Max Heinz used their enhanced eyes to pierce through the night, watching the two strangers who stepped forward, but they had no time to identify what exactly those pinpricks of blue light were. The strangers aimed their arms at the Kindred, but there was a moment of doubt. Conner threw a knife, Twist waited, and Sidor Grigoriev kept protecting Ariana Donovan. However, there is no protection against the strange pyrotechnic rain that flew through the night, ready to burn their flesh. Then literally, the heat of the battle commenced, Josephine Powell’s fists initiated the fight that quickly took out the two strangers. Two strange strangers, that may be said. Because why do they keep sticks of butter hidden under their clothes… and… and… what are their friends doing to the theater! Damn Staley.

Dark Deeds Indeed

With Andy saved, Tracy Burns could now focus on finding The Decapitator. Meanwhile Deputized, she gathered Alice Brown, Chase Ankers, Jennifer Hazelton and Neil Kingsley. The work was divided; the Deputy and Kingsley will investigate the station, Mr. Ankers and Madam Hazelton will try to find an answer to the question if the decapitation is linked to an earlier murder case in December. Alice Brown will question the station manager, he must know more. Well, let’s wait and see what they all find out.

The Reverence Revisited

With Adona Quince left behind, Alice Brown and Chase Ankers continued their investigation on the so-called Lifers. With the help of Nika Crassus they could watch some security tapes from the Reverence. On the tapes, they noticed that a waitress had contact with the fake vampires. With this being their biggest lead so far, the two went to visit the waitress and nearly drowned her with their Blood Gifts. Now, all they can do is wait until one of the Lifers shows up again.

The Regent's Relic

The bank robbery is getting more and more exciting. Alice Brown has taken the manager outside and is now having a bitch fight with his wife. Way more interesting though is what happens inside. As soon as Daniella Sage and Ricardo Rodriguez worked their way around the security, the Mekhet went stealthy and actually got to the Helmet. Meanwhile Ricardo picked up a security phone and got the message that the police was on its way. Uh-oh indeed. They got what they want, but will they get away with it?

Insurgents Epilogue

No matter what the Kindred had expected, or hoped for, none was able to get useful information. Sidor Grigoriev had never been so intimidating, but nothing came from Terrified Teller's mouth except for blood. Conner Greyson and the Deputy came to the conclusion that Teller Kent would not have more to tell than emphasizing the Bride's failure, so with a stake in his heart they got rid of Kent.

Meanwhile Tracy Burns and David Silver continued to follow the last bride. Tracy drove her away a moment on her bike while the Hierophant followed them through the perceptional powers of Cruac. Tracy desperately tried to get to know more, but the girl insisted on continuing by herself, out of town.

It all sounds like a sad ending, but on the bright side… do not forget that yet another threat is eliminated. All happy? At least San Francisco is.

Howe Park Search

Do we not know that the park is never safe? How many mothers have warned their children? Apparently not the mother of the two teenagers being slaughtered in the park. Some Kindred gathered, Charles Black, Emma French, Dillon Connery and Yekaterina, to investigate the hideous crime scene. A it that turned out to be a she, disappeared in the ground. Now what to do? At least watch your back… or beneath your feet.

Hart’s Herd

The team, comprised of Adam York, James Calloway, Dr. Robert Swift, and Jose Matias, 'politely interrogated' a group of nerds who claimed to know the owner of the dog, one Jillian Malloy, who they determined Roxie Hart had accounted for. After a number of polite persuasion attempts and threats, they determined that numerous nerds from a comic book shop called Paradox had been helping Jillian out to take care of Jeff, her dog. After having made at least one nerd wet himself with fear, the group made their way to Paradox, where they began to try to figure out who had seen an event the trio at the apartment building had referred to that had happened the night before.

Beating Bobby

After an endless discussion, and with help of the matter of subject himself, David Silver, Brenn Lawrence and Gene got to a solution. Miss Lawrence several times intimated Bobby Lau, which seemed to have no effect. The Asian Kindred remained calm all the time. So now they made a deal. With the promise not to torpor anyway, the three Kindred will fight Bobby. Sounds fair huh?! Let's wait to see what the Asian man got up to his sleeve!

Sincerely, Madam Harpy Alice Brown
