Eternal Elysia XX

Eternal Elysia this month was full of intrigue... and some violence. Many of the Society's Kindred were in attendance this evening, to observe a spectacle of social faux-pas and difficult decisions.

Various newcomers made themselves known this month as well. Some made themselves known peacefully: Neil Kingsley, Bobby Lime, Zachary Griffiths and Catherine Keyes made their entry well, getting to know the various Court officers. But Annalise Hernandez and Alexander Schmider were the center of some very dangerous attention.

Annalise Hernandez met Deputy Sidor Grigoriev. As a Sanctified from another city, the Daeva met her new Bishop with derision, insulting the Priscus of Haunts several times and refusing to cooperate with his directions. Deputy Grigoriev introduced her to the Seneschal, and as per his right as Bishop of the Sanctified, he stripped Miss Hernandez of her Sanctified status. He also forbade the new Kindred to use Theban Sorcery on pain of being nailed to his church door. She has not been heard from ever since.

Violence exploded at the Avalon's Elysia. After discussing joining a coterie with James Calloway and Chris Wooding, Jose Matias was met by Alexander Schmider, a patchwork Nosferatu newcomer who was rude to him. Mr. Schmider interrupted Catherine Keyes and Deputy Tracy Burns in conversation, electing to menace Miss Keyes and anger the Deputy. Tracy Burns struck him with a stake to the chest. Jose Matias then violated Elysium by striking the Nosferatu with a flurry of kicks.

The Reeve brought all parties involved into a meeting, along with Deputies Ricardo Rodriguez and Dillon Connery. Jose showed no remorse and was sentenced to a choice of banishment or the painful cutting of his Achilles tendon. Mr. Matias selected banishment and was taken to the Barrens by Deputy Connery.

After that, Seneschal Ariana Donovan, Herald Martha Villiers, Grand Wyrm Max Heinz and Deputy Sidor Grigoriev were brought in to help decide what would be done with Alexander Schmider. When neither man would take responsibility for Schmider, the Herald, Seneschal and Reeve collectively concluded that the best place for Mr. Schmider was in the Necropolis with Lord Arnold Culler. He fell silent and Deputy Rodriguez agreed to take him.

Generally speaking, the reactions to the violence were shocking and negative. It seems the Society much appreciates the law against violence in Elysium.

Around the Requiem

At the Temple of the Woven Circle, some new members were, as they say, woven into the Circle of the Crone. All and all was the Spring Equinox a rite of joy indeed. Again there was a part where visitors could enjoy the rites of the Goddess and there was a private part for all Acolytes.

The Sanctified also gathered shortly to make Sacramento's Lancea Sanctum more structured, as was needed according to Bishop Sidor Grigoriev. Dillon Connery was appointed Deacon and Josephine Powell would soon be Paladin. Then after sharing their faith by witnessing the Dark Miracles the Faithful departed.

Next to our religions, there were also family meetings this month. Clan Mekhet met at Avalon. Surprising was the presence of Thomas O'Connor, the man has returned to the Domain. All Shadows introduced themselves, among them three relatively new arrivals Bobby Lime, Neil Kingsley and Catherine Keyes. Regent Erika Brady once more reaffirmed the invitation of feeding rights in Citrus Heights, and the Priscus of Mekhet Conner Greyson reminded them that the Clan's special gift, Auspex, is not to be taught outside the Clan. Before leaving again, everyone informed the others on their qualities, that they may be useful in the future.

Beside Clan Mekhet, all Savages gathered as well. As soon as the first Gangrel arrived at the Seven Stars Motel there was an obvious shared contempt against Francesco Giovanni. The first words spoken were logically filled with some introductions, warnings to behave good and as Roxie says: don’t be a dumbass. Moving on the way only Gangrel can, Tracy Burns was named Whip of Savages. After the expected congratulations, it is time for questions. Apparently, that follows in calling Chris Wooding a Clannist, at their clan meeting, curious. Then after some last barks the beasts of beasts departed.

Aid of the Domain

The Ring Rings a Bell

It indeed could not be so easy that Dr. Valdemar would simply give Tyler Archer, Drake Drummond and Michael Redfill his ring. They follow him in his car, pondering about what to do and concerned about certain speculations. Then to the surprise of all of them a third car intervenes, it tries to keep up, even ram them, and eventually they all have to stop. While the very well educated Kindred cannot do much to the situation, Dr. Valdemar steps out while pointing his gun at the two women from the third car. The older woman says she just needs the ring. Need for what? Can a single ring truly be so precious?

Slicing up the strangers

With no enemy bones spared, Twist and the others destroyed most of the strangers; all but one, Heathcliff Staley. It has been said that the man would be Lazarus' perfect pawn. Truth be told, the man was insane. After destroying several Kindred with high standing in the Prince's Domain, he attempted to damage the Archon and the Ballo Della Notte. Fortunately, he failed, and we may thank Seneschal Ariana Donovan, Chris Wooding, Josephine Powell, Reeve Conner Greyson, Max Heinz, Deputy Sidor Grigoriev & Archon Twist for that.

Discovering the Deeds

Under perfect command of Deputy Tracy Burns, another investigation is strictly organized. Jennifer Hazelton and Chase Ankers worked together to find information on the internet, Harpy Brown went to go to her apparently monthly visit to a manager, and the Deputy herself took a closer look around the crime scene with the help of Neil Kingsley. Team internet succeeded in no time. Mr. Ankers found more news related the decapitation case and no firewall appeared to be capable of stopping Miss Hazelton. Before she reads the morgue’s report Jennifer finds her way to the CCTV footage of the train station, which is also the thing that the Harpy gets done. With the lie of being a private investigator and a good shot of Majesty, the station’s manager helps Alice all the way he can. He gives her all the camera footage among some other information. Meanwhile outside, Tracy and Neil find out the station is only a dumping place of the body, so they follow a blood trail. It leads to an overkill of other scents and eventually it is cut off. That says something too. Altogether, the group of Kindred can conclude many things, now they need to share that information and go on. For the sake of all those who want to keep their head on the right place!

Returned: The Regent's Relic

Bailiff Daniella Sage, Deputy Ricardo Rodriguez and Harpy Alice Brown got away with the helmet; they took it to the Harpy's office for further investigation. There they found that within the helmet was a piece of human skin with a Hungarian text written on it. They were unable to translate the text and decided to go to Regent Erika Brady to finally return the stolen relic. As we all silently expected a little, Dr. Brady was not even slightly amused by the way, the three Kindred handled their mission. Thanks and goodbye, that was that with yet another mystery unsolved.

The Park's Problem

For the investigation on a hideous crime in a park, four Kindred split in two groups. On one side we had Yekaterina Alexandrovitch and Deputy Dillon Connery, the Savage Priscus turned into a large black dog while the Daeva took care of all the contacting. The other team was Charles Black and Emma French, a couple very capable of talking to each other… and making their way over to the Deputy Dog as soon as he found something. A hole dug in the ground, Emma French decided to take a closer look… she smells human waste… she goes further … a large metal pipe. Perhaps a sewer? Sure why not, getting down and dirty all the way. Respect.

Nerd Herd

Now Adam York, James Calloway, Dr. Robert Swift, and Jose Matias have made their way to the comic shop called Paradox, desperately trying to get to know more about Roxie’s missing herd. Most certainly, none of the nerds seems to know something about Jillian or her dog. Surely, the manager must know something, so the group follows the man to his… yeah, where did he go? They accuse him of being obfuscated until it appears that Captain America has more up to his sleeve than just a shield. Dr. Swift finds a secret passage. They proceed further below and closer into a dark room and then LIGHT! They were not directly burned, but they seriously were made to feel like vampire pizza in an oven. In the search for a way out, they blindly come along another passage. James “Wolverine” Calloway sniffs and sniffs the way through the dirty passage. Who knows where it leads to…

The Beaten Bobby

Though it seemed that the Kindred did not mind to build up some excitement by making their fight a long fight, the result is nonetheless pleasing. Brenn Lawrence and David Silver boxed quite well against the Asian man called Bobby Lau. Due to their teamwork, he was beaten up pretty bad. In addition, as was a part of the deal they made, Bobby Lau willingly presented himself to the Domain’s authorities, now we can only guess how Deputy Connery solves these kinds of cases.
