Rory

Sometimes, it's hard being who you're supposed to be. Rory came from the streets, and was raised in a Catholic boy's home. Sometime between picking fights and telling tall tales, the priests actually got to him.

Still, you can take the boy off the streets, but some things just stay with you. With a shave and a fresh cassock, Professor Gordon is a knowledgeable, well-spoken and well-regarded theologian. Give him a couple of days without a razor and a couple of drinks, and you've got Rory the punk.

But he believes.

First Impressions

The first thing people tend to note is that he has no fashion sense whatsoever. His clothing is often mismatched, and generally looks as if it were purchased off the rack of a thrift store... because it was. It isn't the fashion defiance of a hipster, but a near total lack of understanding about such things because of his upbringing. He speaks with the faintest lilt of a Scot's accent, and comes across as well educated. Well educated, but also naive about some things. He has the stocky build of a natural brawler, but a gentle demeanor.

Genesis

Rory is an orphan, spending his childhood in foster homes, then a Catholic boy's home. Eventually, he joined the priesthood as well as earning a doctorate in Theology. For all intents and purposes, the Church became his life. He was shocked to learn that there were Bad Things within the Church itself, and found himself holding the short end of the stick. A bit lost, he put his education to use and began teaching at the local university. It was during this time that he met like-minded individuals and became part of his first cell with Alexis Kaneand Daysha Jackson.
