Players are allowed to make secondary accounts to post under for their characters. Some players find it more immersive, other just like the extra inbox space(s). Whatever the reason, having multiple accounts is a bit more work, and it's the player's responsibility to ensure that all accounts are maintained and updated. Failure to do so will mean having secondary accounts deleted and being reverted to a single account.
Most importantly, it's up to the player to stay on top of their OOC business. Reading OOC posts, private messages directed to the player account, notations on the character sheet -- these are all your responsibility. Not logging in to your player account isn't an excuse.
That said, we hope it's an easy and fun process. Here's how to get started:
- Register a new forum account after a character is approved.
- Link Accounts to your user account by going to Settings (top right of page), then the center page under your thread subscriptions will have your Linking options.
- Classify your character by going to Quick Links > Edit Profile then on the left under "My Settings" select Group Memberships. Choose Characters and then choose your family (Clan, Path, etc) and Organization (Covenant, Order, etc). This will add the icons to your posting profile. You must join these groups one at a time. If you're already in the Characters group, just keep going.
- Be sure to fill in your "main" (player) account info in your Profile Settings.
