Appearance

The mage known by the Shadow Name of MIACH (pronounce Meeax) is tall and lean, with mid-long blonde hairs flowing freely on his shoulders. His gaze is of a deep green, and never seem to settle long on something. He seems to be in his late twenties, and quite fit, always wearing fashionable clothes that enhances his natural good looks.

History

Up to his arrival in Sacramento

From a youngster's point of view, Jonathan Blyes had it all : looks, brain, money, likeable, and he was born in the City of Angels to boot. No surprise then that he always had fun in life, and enjoyed it to its fullest (whether it be girls, parties, sport, studies, trips, or what have you...)

When he was 18, as he was partying on a beach with all due debauchery, he noticed that the stars started turning backward, and the dancers around him started changing back into Victorian dresses, medieval garbs, antiquity robes, beast skins, atlantean regalia… By that time, he was dancing among them, and had Awakened.

He started living his magic as yet another gift of life, something to be enjoyed, and have fun with. Life went on merrily a few weeks, until a day when he was having fun surfing, and a friend of his was mauled by a careless ship sailing near them. It was luck that he wasn’t hurt either. When the ambulance came, he received a cursory check by a female doctor in her late forties, Menwël (Thyrsus). She recognized him for what he was, and took him under her wing. She then gave him a purpose: to allow everyone to have fun too. Since nobody could enjoy life when they were sick, she had become a healer. He followed in her steps, becoming a rising-star surgeon. Eventually, they became lovers. Their huge age difference did not stop him one minute.

Later, they went into a conflict in Africa as part of Doctors-Without-Borders, but she died from an attack from marauders on a Red Cross hospital. A mere stray bullet in the head, and he couldn’t do a thing…

Jonathan couldn’t bear her loss, and stumbled back in his old habits of mindless parties without end, and cynical retorts. But he was now a Mage... He studied the Death Arcanum in hope to bring her back, and only recently managed to contact Menwël’s ghost. She talked him back on the good track, and he’s now once again trying to do the good thing.

Shortly after that fateful meeting, he joined into the Mysterium, and has been a very diligent member since. After a short while, their first real request was that he went to Sacramento, and he’s abided by it. He’s now trying to rise in the ranks as best he can.

Current Goals

Miach has kept those to himself, and to the best of his knowledge, no one is aware of his true intent

He has kept it a secret from his former mentor though, but seeing her dead has broken something in him, and Miach is now afraid of his own death. He is trying to find a way to cheat death, and is actively looking for all secrets pertaining to immortality. He’s now trying to rise in the ranks of the Mysterium, hoping to find a way to circumvent death, and keep on living forever.

Nimbus

No one in Sacramento has seen Miach's Nimbus yet. His nimbus is the sound of beating hearts coming from him and playing a music. During strong spellcasting, it even seems his skin his pulsing in synch with the music.

Miach really has no idea what he's doing when it comes to magic. He's probably attempted Alchemy once or twice, and it's got him so puzzled that he hasn't figured out anything else.
