The footnote to the Red & White Court is done; Hierophant Dirge has been given a Domain. And it seems that Arnold Culler has left for good, or that the Prince is tired of waiting for his return, since it was Culler's Domain, rather than Jayant Nagaraj's. Three Deputies patrol the city -- Anton Flores, Conner Greyson, and Thomas O'Connor. And there is still no one to spread this gossip around the Eternal Court.^[1]

Happenings

Alice Brown and Martha Villiers

• After Madam Alice Brown is unable to locate the Prince in his office she strikes up a conversation with the current Keeper of the Elysia Miss Martha Villiers.^[2]

"A delight to see you! I am very well, thank you very kindly for asking! I hope you are well too! I wonder: may I be of any assistance, ma'am?" - Martha Villiers

"Ah well, everything goes it's way... though... is there something wrong?" - Alice Brown

"Goodness me! I should sincerely hope not! No, ma'am...I simply saw you loiter by the Prince's Chamber and wondered if I might be of some assistance...that was all." - Martha Villiers

"I wish to speak with the Prince for some more private matters, if you don't mind. Seeing his absence, I would enjoy your assistence in a happy conversation, well, we're on our way I guess." - Alice Brown

• Alice Brown and Martha Villiers continue there conversation and move on to a bit of a guessing game.^[3]

"May I know to what Covenant you belong Keeper Villiers?" - Alice Brown

"Oh! I enjoy games...I shall tell you, of course, ma'am, but: I wonder...can you guess?" - Martha Villiers

"Let me think out loud. If you were an Invictus, I would have known already... and your style doesn't really fit an acolyte if I may say. That leaves me with the Second Estate and the Ordo Dracul. Well, you're wearing a schoolish uniform, so I would bet on the Dragons, but you could just as well be one of the Sanctified if you ask me." - Alice Brown

"Ah! Your deductions are astute and correct, ma'am! Of course, I didn't not intend to mystify with my attire, but you are correct! Yes...I am of the Ordo, ma'am." - Martha Villiers

• Ciara Maskelyne makes her return to the domain, although her status as Harpy is not yet known.^[4]

"Harpy Maskelyne. I am Alice Brown, I've been here since the last Official Court. Seeing your absence, we thought you might enjoy our company now." - Alice Brown

"Good evening, ma'am. It is good to see you, ma'am, and reassuring that you have returned to us. Is there anything I can do to help you this evening, ma'am?" - Martha Villiers

"Good evening Keeper Villiers, I hope the evening find you well. I was hoping to find the Seneschal to inform her of my return. Assuming Priscus Stamford is still Seneschal? A pleasure to meet you, Ms Brown; though I'm not sure the title of Harpy is one that still applies to me. How have you found Sacramento during your time here?" - Ciara Maskelyne

"I love my time in Sacramento so far, and about your position of Harpy. I believe no one else has been appointed yet." - Alice Brown

"While there may be no officially announced replacement, I will have to see how the Prince feels on the matter..." - Ciara Maskelyne

• Deputy Thomas O'Connor and Katrina Scherbotsky enjoy each others company while discussing the state of the domain after the Red & White Court and the Regency Duel ^[5]

Ariana Donovan and Brenn Lawrence

• Ariana Donovan and Brenn Lawrence have a conversation about writing, what the ladies do to stay busy, and their feelings on the politics of the domain. ^[6]

"Oh! and Brenn is fine, by the way, if you don't mind a first name basis. I believe in camaraderie between kindred...and writers, of course! I write much less factual pieces but I really do admire your work." - Brenn Lawrence

"Thank you kindly. I would enjoy reading some of your work sometime. I do reserve first name basis for places outside of court. Perhaps in time, I do hope we can do so. What sort of writing do you do Miss Lawrence?" - Ariana Donovan

"Mainly I turn my pen to poetry. Some rhyming, some beat, and even free verse; I like most all forms. Hmm, it's a shame I don't have a chapbook on me, I'll have to remember to bring a few next time. Aside from poetry, though, I often try my hand at writing "articles". They're more like propaganda I'll admit, but only if you disagree with them. That's why I like your works, they're much more refined. The last articles I wrote were directed at those Kindred who I saw to be cruel and harmful in LA. In fact, the articles stirred up enough blazes bright enough to chase me away. Don't think I'll have to do that here though," - Brenn Lawrence

"I find all writing to be of interest, whether or not I agree with it. I am able to read objectively quite often, unless it is something I am passionate about. Poetry, It has been years since I have wrote any, although I am an avid reader. I too hope that you do not have the same problems that you had in L.A. The crevices of cruelty are hard to spot at times, but when they are brought to fruition, the denial can be deadly." - Ariana Donovan

"I'm beginning to fall in love with this domain and, despite the fact that I don't know who the Prince actually is, his laws don't seem to be unreasonable. Although I do know that when it comes to laws, their execution is the real capital," - Brenn Lawrence

"Thank you Again Miss Lawerence." Pausing for a moment, "I am sure you will eventually meet Alder Prince Clarke. I only know him through Courts and a meeting of the First Estate. I do not know him personally, however, you are correct that the Laws of the Domain seem fair. If I may be so bold as to ask, have you ever given thought to taking up writing professionally?" - Ariana Donovan

"You can be as bold as you would like, I won't hold it against you, Why do you ask?" - Brenn Lawrence

"Well, I think it would be terrible if such talents went to waste. Perhaps a pseudonym to write under, or unanimous letters to the editor may be a way to continue your plight. If we write and no one reads it, who hears our voice?" - Ariana Donovan

"That's alright. I...I'll have to think about that," - Brenn Lawrence

"I'd love to meet up with you outside of Court some night. Here, let me give you my number and then I'll stop monopolizing your evening. I'm sure you have better things to attend to than a hobnobbing member of the third estate," - Brenn Lawrence

"Third estate? Just because I am of the First Estate and a Ventrue does not mean you should belittle yourself. What are you referring to Miss Lawrence?" - Ariana Donovan

"The third estate? Oh, it was just a little joke on my end. In France, before 1489, there were three social classes, called the Estates, and the Estate one belonged to determined what legal rights one possessed. The First Estate was the clergy, the Second was the Nobility. A bit ironic, huh? Oh, and the Third was the peasantry, the Masses. I just meant that since I'm in neither the Invictus or the Lance I qualify as the Third. Just a joke, no offense or deprecation was meant," - Brenn Lawrence

"Ah yes, that is a bit backwards. Or perhaps we are backwards these days. Before I speculate, may I ask what clan you are?" - Ariana Donovan

"I'm of Clan Nosferatu, as my beauteous countenance does indeed suggest, and I'm Unbound...apologies if I didn't mention that before. I, uh, am still getting the hang of proper etiquette." - Brenn Lawrence
