With the revelations from the October Consilium meeting ^[1] fresh in mind primarily those about Corn's family woes the and the return of Guru to the city in recent months the order came together. Opening business included Chambers announcement of his recent passing of the Factotum exam.

Early business involved Chambers rebuffing Aurora ^[2] and Corn^[3] for use of order titles in public, Corn caught the worst of it for using mystery initiation titles in front of none order mages. And it had not gone unnoticed Philip Crosen had been asking questions. ^[4] which when combined with Corns own utter disregard for order teaching and principles ^[5] had given Chambers serious concern most perhaps Corn's claim that it was his duty to teach sleepers about magic inspite of the Lex.

It also came quickly to light that despite contrary claims in the last order meeting Aurora had no passed the Mysterium Arche or even the exemplum although the error is one created by being misinformed not intentional deception as the meeting went on it becomes apparent that neither has Guru completed any of the mysteries ad neither Sharman had a divination to pursue further advancement. As the talks go on Chambers states he will pursue time magic to make sure the divinations become possible while considering what else they need for the rituals that are going to be required.

Corn attempts to refute the charges and digs his whole deeper by demanding knowledge from Chambers in recompense but Chambers shoots it down quoting the mage back at himself and the support Corn had shown for heresies in the order, not knowing the principle of Right Knowledge. Corn calls for fate magic to be used to test his words against truth.

Aurora comes down hard on Corn in tandem with Chambers and Corn back tracks claiming he had not accused Chambers of slander even having done so only minutes prior something the gathered mages point out to him. Corn then tries to demand the criteria his words are tested by while showing he has no knowledge of how fate works believing it can turn water into ink. he once again shot down and told his words will be tested against the truth nothing more or less. Shortly then making it clear he has no idea how Scrutiny works either claiming he will scrutinise the spell for information scrutiny can not revel being the conditions of a Conditional Duration set by Fate magic which Chambers takes as an attempt from to take knowledge he has not earned under false pretence.

It is determined that Chambers will use a conditional trigger that of a spell ending if Corn lies to them and ask a series of yes or no questions to determine what is true and what is not. With the option for further explanation if it is asked for.

As Corn continues to attempt to wriggle, deflect and lie Aurora grows increasingly exasperated, the level headed Guru has nothing to help his wayward friend and Chambers eventually pins Corn down by offering to cast a spell to help learn about who kidnapped Corns' son if Corn can manage to answer truthfully.

Chambers then calls on the magic of his legacy to cast Scribe Final Name and record Corns momentary name. With the Condition the spell will last until Corn tells a lie. The Moros under questions answers some questions as required while trying to dodge others which makes Chambers double down on asking Corn if he had stated to be in line with those who break the Lex to teach sleepers while more questions for Aurora and Guru pile on.

Eventually Corn truthfully admits he has stated to be line with those who breach the Lex to teach to have broken the Lex himself and considered also asking others to do so for him. Elaborations come out that Corn uses vulgar magic in front of sleepers, curses sleepers, cast on his wife has broken into Sanctums, killed a sleeper with a gun he enhanced for that purpose, does support teaching sleepers and has asked Aurora to break the Lex for him using vulgar life magic in hospital to save his unborn child, something Aurora refused to do. During the followng explinations Corn lies about a location and the spell ends.

After Chambers recasts it and Corn receives chastisement from both Chambers and Aurora he lies again about his knowledge of the sanctum he broke into contradicting himself immediately. After a third casting however it dawns on Corn just how detrimental his words can be and he reigns in his tongue, accepting of his fate.

So with the questioning over and Corns sins made known and his lies exposed Chambers holds up his end using Study Final Name to determine if Corn knows the kidnapper and eliminating a few immediate relatives by checking the strength of connection Corn has to them compared with the kidnapper.

Corn was awed and humbled by the help Chambers gave him after all that had transpired something Chambers uses to bolster the benefits of tradition and Guanxi and Corn for his part seems to take it to heart. Guru speaks up after a time of silence to advocate for not telling the council but with both Chambers and Aurora serving as councillors and both being supportive of the Lex and its punishments that got no ground.

A final point of connection arose as Chambers stood by the Mysterium no killing policy with Guru being more cavalier about it and Aurora calling on her prior killings to take a similar stance. Establishing himself as the most traditional mystagogue present it sets a hurdle before both Aurora and Guru for their own advancements. Wanting to strongly break the idea that killing was always a reasonable back up option.

And on this the meeting drew to an end.
