Vino Veritas

Vino Veritas is located in the heart of downtown Sacramento and is considered one of the finest Italian restaurants serving traditional, homemade Italian cuisine. With authentic food and wine, one of the vastest collections in the city, the wait can long, but reservations are accepted.
Decorated in rich mahogany woods and deep reds, it creates a warm and rich environment. A bar sits along one side, filled with spirits, wines and decorated with old wine barrels. Bar stools and high tops sit along the bar, allowing for patrons to have a drink before dinner, or to simply come in for a drink if they wish. There is a hallway off the bar that leads to a deep red curtain with a sign that indicates it leads to private meeting rooms and to call to reserve one. An elevator sits off to the side with a keypad.
In the center of the dining room is an expensive concert piano, and there is always someone playing it for the evening. Also located near the piano, but roped off with red rope, is a Bianqing. A plaque informs those who are curious what it is, and that is was made for the owner by a very talented local artist and to please not touch it.
One of the key features of the restaurant is the atrium layout of the dining room. It was a large, open aired area, featuring high ceilings and allowing one to see up two floors to private seating. These private areas held tables for those who wanted a more, intimate or more private, dining experience. It came with their own server, and access to a separate wine list, the owner’s private collection. It came with a more expensive price tag of course, but with the best service.
