BBCode or Bulletin Board Code is a lightweight markup language used to format posts in many message boards. The available tags are usually indicated by square brackets ([ ]) surrounding a keyword.

Mention
The easiest way to ensure another player sees a thread is to 'tag' or 'mention' them. This will give them a notification to the thread. This is done by using the button/box at the top of every thread (pictured to the right) or within a post using BBCode. The BBCode is used by:

Used to track health. Each of the numbers, in order, represent the number of Aggravated, Lethal, Bashing, and Full health boxes to display. If no damage is sustained of a certain type, use a 0. 0|0|0|7 would show 7 full health bars 0|0|3|4 would show 3 bashing and 4 full (total 7).
