A meeting held by Jonathan Mclean at the Hornblower Cruises in the middle of October 2011

- Jonathan Mclean calls a meeting of the Carthians, in order to appoint leadership and settle the Movement down. Lance Rayner and Kaiden Kesom arrive, and the three Carthians banter a little, back and forth. The air is much more relaxed than the previous meeting, perhaps due to the freedom of not being in an Invictus stronghold. [2]
- Laird Bathurst sends a woman in his employment to speak to the three Carthians. She is rude and brusque, demanding that they contact her employer, and leaving. Lance Rayner follows her to investigate, while Kaiden Kesom and Jonathan Mclean make small talk. When the woman mouths off again, Lance demonstrates why it was a bad idea. The woman doesn't last very long. [3]
- Lance Rayner returns, and the group discusses the need to appoint a Prefect. Lance reminds Jonathan Mclean that he removed himself from the running. He offers Kaiden Kesom the chance to run against him. The Ventrue admits that he thinks he'd make a good Prefect, but backs down due to his newness, and Lance accepts the position. [4]
- Prefect Lance Rayner outlines his desires for the Covenant. These include making political overtures to the Sanctified, the Crone and the Ordo. Kaiden Kesom begins to object to some of the outline, using Kindred terms, but Lance stops him before the breach can become serious. Kaiden then explains that he does not want to be the 'water boys' of the Domain, who work for the three Mystery Covenants as subordinates. He suggests they try and get a monopoly. Jonathan Mclean thinks the Domain are afraid of their position. Lance points out that people are not afraid of their history- they don't want the Carthians to destabilise the city's power structure and bring everything crashing down around them. He advocates working on strengthening connections. [5]
- Kaiden Kesom asks Lance Rayner what he will be bringing to the table. Lance responds bluntly with the word 'competency'. The group moves on to discussing the possibility of finding more secure places to stay, and the need for security. They agree to quarterly meetings, although Jonathan Mclean is already considering leaving the Carthians. He does not voice this thought. The meeting closes.[6]
