The first official meeting of the unofficial Consilium of Sacramento took place on the 1st of January in the year 2024.[1]
In attempt to start rebuilding the traditional structures of a Consilium Chambers and October had previously come to the agreement[2] to have an official meeting of the mages currently acknowledged by what passed for the Consilium at the time. Posting to the newly implemented corkboard to alert the other awakened to the coming change.
The day came and most mages were in attendance. Chambers brought home cooked food in the form of Sheppard pie having been inspired by October to use this as an ice breaker if needed. He also came with copies of the agenda for the day.[3].
Philip Crosen arrived bearing various beverages and snack foods to add to the offering followed October with hot pies and bread Followed by Witch and cutting it very close Winter. The final remaining member of the Consilium Walker was not present having at this time already left the city unknown to anyone else.
The meeting started in Ernest and October brought forward the issue of how long acknowledgement took her own having taken near enough three months to complete. The enchantress suggested appointment of an official to handle the process which saw hesitation from Winter and Philip. Chambers pointed he to had been put through a drawn out process spanning multiple months without need, supporting the idea of both having it become assigned duty and a degree of vetting take place.
Witch shut down the point of seeking everyone's agreement to acknowledge as had been done as growing numbers made it restrictive and as the Guardian pointed out a Consilium is not a free council assembly needing to vote on everything. Winter weighed in with a cool head to defuse growing differences keeping things to the facts and helping the conversation stabilise on acknowledgement by path.
With the conversation loosely settled for the moment on that Chambers bring up his discovery that the Athenaeum within the circle had been broken into, the lock removed from the door and emptied of all contents. Having discovered this on arrival it had taken the Mystagogue time to work up to sharing this grievous concern with mages he knew little of. The news has mixed reactions with October volunteering to perform post cognition but such efforts would not get past the circles wards.
The idea of note taking is first brought up a tentative reference to the lack of any bronze laws which gets support from Philip but the meeting is brought to a close before the idea can gain serious traction.
