The First Scene in the City Shards sub forum. Sally Romanov goes to one of the local parks for some relaxing time away from the business of the Shadow Seekers and Gypsy's.^[1]

Happenings

• Sally Romanov leans into some of the deep flexing movements of Yoga as she is approached by a dapper gentleman named Ivan who asked her about how she can focus on Yoga being outside with all the distractions of the park. Sally smiles and lets him know that actually does Yoga outside in order to embrace her environment and focus on her movements. ^[2]

• Next to arrive in the park is Capoeira practitioner Jose Matias. He arrives with a group capoeiristas and forms a Roda.^[3]

• Sally and Ivan continue there discussion about yoga and then moves on to the performance of in the Roda. Gallows says that he is more familiar with that happenings because of the street performers in New Orleans. Sally tells Gallows that she had a friend in France who was a practitioner.

• Salem, who introduces himself as Art, is the next one to arrive at the park where he runs into Jose, well to be more accurate, Jose runs into him. Jose and Art have a conversation about Capoeira and its popularity in Sacramento.

• Back with Sally and Ivan, Ivan tells Sally about himself, including that he works at a funeral home. Sally reassures Ivan that she is not bothered by it, but isn't exactly excited to talk about the subject of death. ^[4] Sally explains that she works at Gypsy's, not actually admitting that she owns it.

• Sally reassures the men that she is not to be taken lightly and that she can protect herself. Sally says, "I am pleased to see that you would have the good sense to respect a woman who can put her leg behind her head."

• The group discusses the American Dream and that Sally and Jose, both immigrants, are trying to get there piece.

• Jose invites the group to a Carnival Ball. ^[5]
