Lucy Morgan
Fire is always at the top of the food chain, and it has a big appetite.
Freehold Elemental Winter

Presence ●●● Tough Girl

Lucy Morgan, a Fireheart Elemental, hardened by life. That is not an uncommon thing among Changelings, yet not everyone who survives Arcadia immediately becomes a criminal. Lucy may seem sweet, but she's known for her outbursts. You know, just be kind to her. She is quite new to the Winter Court, although she's could count herself among the Onyx ranks for several years, she never made any particular effort to be a real part of the Court. It knew her qualities all too well, she could burn things, cover up your crimes, and sometimes even play the nice girl. She hopes to change her involvement with the Freehold, now that she moved to Sacramento. It's time to be better.

Appearance

With her unimpressive length, her sweet smile and her cute taste for clothes, it is truly Lucy's attitude that makes people realize she's not to be messed with. And maybe her nearly fiery red hair helps with that attitude. Of course, that's all just her Mask. It is a lie, hiding the truth that lies beneath:

Mien

Because her true appearance is what gives Lucy her confidence, her hair is not just fiery red, it's replaced by flames. Her eyes burn, the Elemental's body seems to be made of black coal, her fingertips are red hot. With the Fireheart's Mien, one could wonder why the soil she walks isn't set on fire yet - until it does.

Mantle

As the Fireheart moves ashes subtly surround her, as if they whirl up from the ground. When she actives a contract, more ash appears, and strange feeling crawls upon those who look at her. It is not just sorrow, it is a feeling as if you lost something... to a fire.

Background

Life Before Being Taken

Emily Williamson, a dear girl, born on October 7th, 1982. Her familiy lived in Miami, Florida. Emily was truly the nicest of kids, always caring for her little brother, she would love the family dog the most, she would never do any harm to friends at school. She had an extra passion for dolls and strawberries, and that's just one of the many things her parent could love about her. Anton and Patricia were good parents, but they both needed full time jobs to be able to make a living - yet they could always spare money to make their kids happy. You know, to buy sweets and stuff.

It's the sweet girls that he wants.

But no matter how kind one is to others, it doesn't solve many problems. Certainly not money problems. Emily was an average kid when it came to school, no exceptional grades, no universities ahead of her. But she had a dream to work towards to, she really liked the idea of becoming a nurse. She just had to work hard to get there. And life in Miami can be hard so already.

It's the disciplined girls that he wants.

Emily was 21 when her life changed for good. She was at a party on Miami Beach, in the distance, she saw a fire. Away from the party, maybe it was a nice campfire, or perhaps something was burning? Anyway, enough reason to take a look, just to be sure. And, of course, she was not entirely sober anymore.

It’s the people attracted to fire that he wants.

Durance and Keeper

He. The Overseer of the Furnace, Baron of Warfare. It was far too easy to lure Emily away from her friends and take her. The Overseer specifically wanted Emily to work for him, he said she had an inner passion that was special. Apparently he already knew her, so he took her to his fortress, called The Furnace. There were different kinds of slaves at the Furnace, some were guards, some worked at the forge to make an endless amount of weapons. Then there was the small group Emily was chosen for: those servants who make make the others serve. Taskmasters. The taskmasters were always women, his ladies. The mistresses of the furnace, whether they wanted it or not. They would learn to want it. All the sweetest girls were emotionally broken. Their passion would become a flame, both inspiring and intimidating, their touch could scorch one’s skin. The once sweet taskmasters were deliberately changed to serve him.

And that she did. For several years she encouraged others - to say it nicely. She hated what she did, but she would hate it even more when the Overseer turned against her. Soon she made sure that never had to happen.

How she escaped

Emily is not proud of how she eventually escaped. The fortress was immense, but the Overseer trusted his taskmasters, and with good reason. One time, Emily caught three people that attempted to escape, she never intended to betray them, she was just shocked. It drew his attention, and he was pleased with her. As soon as she realized she did something good, she desperately tried to bargain something. But, he said she would have to do a lot more to deserve her freedom.

Deserve her freedom?

That definitely turned a sweet girl to the dark side. She had served the Overseer for three years already, but it felt like an eternity. Working all day, only tormenting her fellow slaves. If she had a chance to go away from this burning hell… eventually willfully betrayed others. She made plans to use weapons - that everyone was working on in the forge – against their Keeper. Only she knew they would be useless against him. And even if they could do any harm, she would reveal their plan and their disloyalty to him before they even got a chance to attack. But they were easily persuaded to work with her, her inner flame, a sweet smile, it could convince anyone.

Again he was very pleased. Maybe she was even good enough to work for him, on Earth. Like several others, who were always on the lookout for future taskmasters. Yes she could do that, she could persuade him to trust her. At least, that’s what she told the Overseer.

So she got out, ashamed and scared, but free. She would never serve him, hell, she would never return to Arcadia.

Life after Arcadia

When Emily returned to Miami, she was a completely different person. Her sweetness was gone. And not only that, someone else had taken her place! Not three, but nearly six years had passed. She had nowhere to go. And the criminal world in Miami is just around the corner. It was so easy to become part of that underworld. She met the Freehold of Miami, but she never got really involved, especially as soon as she realized that she had betrayed other citizens of Miami. The Winter Court offered her a place to hide. In several years she learned the very basics, but she could never bond with the Changelings in Miami. She felt so bad. She changed her name in Lucy Morgan, and as soon as possible, she made plans to leave. Because… there’s another thing, Emily is really, really attracted to flames. She was partially a torch, and she knew she could never be without fire. It made her crazy, and she wanted to see fire. She wanted to see things burn. People would hire her just for that. Every day she would get more used to her life as a criminal. And that was bad.

Reason for coming to Sacramento

To change herself, everything needed to change. The west coast would just be far enough from Miami, so she felt. And Los Angeles and San Francisco were simply too big, no, Sacramento would be perfect. There may be more reasons, but hey, what's the fun in telling everything straight away?
