Using existing userboxes
Userboxes are for the use of users on their own user pages. It may be considered bad Wikiquette to place any userboxes on any other user's page(s) without their permission. The existing list of user boxes are:
{{Died}} for having a character death
This member had character die. |
{{Player Killer}} for having killed another player's character
This member killed another member's character. |
{{POTM}} for having won Player of the Month
This member was Player of the Month for May 2010. |
This member was Player of the Month for {{{1}}}. |
{{Six Months}} for having been a member for six months
This member has been playing here for over six months. |
{{One Year}} for having been a member for one year
This member has been playing here for over one year. |
{{Two Years}} for having been a member for two years
This member has been playing here for over two years. |
Syntax
The standard syntax for including a userbox to your user page is: {{name_of_box}}
.
This member has been playing here for over six months. |
This member has been playing here for over one year. |
Note that boxes default to stacking side-by-side rather than vertically:
{{Six Months}}{{One Year}}
, will give:
Creating new userboxes
The template:userbox can be used to create a custom userbox or a new userbox template.
Syntax
See the template's page for complete syntax, a simple form is:
{{Userbox |border color|info color|ID text or image link|Information text }}
Example
{{userbox|darkred|white|[[Image:Ishani Naetesh.jpg|45px]]|This user thinks [[Ishani Naetesh]] is sexy.}}
, will give:
This user thinks Ishani Naetesh is sexy. |
Easy one column table of boxes
You can use the templates Template:Userboxtop, and Template:Userboxbottom, to easily create a nice list of boxes. See the template's page for complete syntax, a simple form is:
