The mage can reinforce or degrade
an object’s Durability.
The player adds or subtracts one point per success achieved on the casting roll. Note that altering Durability with this spell also alters the object’s Structure accordingly. At this level, the mage must touch the targeted object (although he can do so using forceps or other tools). With Matter 4, he can cast this spell at Sensory Range.
Silver Ladder Rote: Sorcerer's Forge
Silver Ladder mages use this rote to fortify or destroy the material integrity of objects. A car door can be rendered almost indestructible during a firefight, or a stone wall made brittle enough to be damaged with a single stout blow.
Adamantine Arrow Rote: Sorcerer's Forge
Adamantine Arrow willworkers use their own version of the same magic in the defense of their fellows.
Ancient Lands Pentalogy Rote: Tumbler-Shatter [1]
A Free Council rote, this spell — used by Soter to gain the Apostate’s freedom — draws upon the larcenous principles of magic, “stealing” the strength of objects. Though its Imago relies most often upon the degradation of object Durability, it can also easily be reversed to use the spell to increase it.
