Garden Grounds

Garden Grounds is a recent coffee house addition in Sacramento. The outside looks like another quaint shop with flowing cursive lettering on the windows depicting the name, Garden Grounds. There are decorative metal tables and chairs painted white. The entrance was old battered green painted wooden door leading to another world all together. Cascading colorful flowers hang around the windows, door and in various planters.

Upon entering, you will encounter hundreds of wisteria flowers in various vibrant colors, hanging from the ceiling interwoven through lattice work. Soft warm lights dance like fairies within the flowers. At night the effect looks like a midsummers sky with lights twinkling here and there. The tables have rounded jars each with a colored rose and soft light giving off a romantic and whimsical glow.

The weekends offer live music, both in the form of local bands and an open mic night.

The menu of the coffee house offers the standard variety mixture of coffees and teas. Seems the owner has caught wind that there is edible glitter and as created a few specialty drinks with the shimmering substance on top. Seen under the soft lights in the evening, the drinks seem to dance and come to life.
