Appearance

Alfred Coldwell is a young man of medium height and build. He prefers neutral colour clothes that don't stand out or hinder movement. He's rather handsome and his face looks honest and trustworthy. He has light hair, dark eyes and smiles come easily to him. However, if you see him in town or even during his Sleeper job you would likely not recognise him. Most of his adult life he's been using disguises and he's very good at them.

Nimbus

The world for a few seconds turns grotesquely curvy, with any sorts of holes and protrusions becoming suddenly more pronounced. With more powerful magic shades seem to intensify and move and faint unintelligible whispers can be heard from them.

Personality

Alfred was always defined by his love for secrets and manipulation. Awakening as a Mastigos further amplified it.

He respects experience, versatility and ability to see through lies. He despises hypocrits and people who make no effort to control their own lives.

Biography

Mortal Life

Alfred was born in a back-water town in a family with drinking parents. He pretty much despised his parents and had to look out for himself. He could work hard, enter into college and so on, but he found that it was much easier to be observant and use deception to get by in life. As a teen he started eavesdropping and pretending to be someone else to get what he wanted and he never really stopped. After high-school he moved to LA, leaving his family and the few friends that he had behind.

Life as a Mage

After Alfred's Awakening not much has changed. He pretty much resumed his Sleeper life, with Awakened perks. Now that he could manipulate minds and space, possibilities seemed endless. He tried not to get involved in Concillium politics and make sure that his spellcasting was never too blatant or harmful to others, but that didn't go too well. At some point he started suspecting he was under supernatural surveillance. He didn't have enough pull in the community to find that out for a fact or do something about it, so he just packed and left. He decided that a medium-sized city would do him better. And, maybe, individualism couldn't work for a Mage as well as he had hoped. He needed allies.
