Ritual Spellcasting

Also known as Extended Spellcasting.

Rituals may be done without a glimpse, but the rolls must be appended to your private character-sheet thread and effected posts linked for our ease of use.

• Sacraments can largely be ignored.
• Without a Sacrament the Ritual suffers a -1 penalty.
• In Group Rituals, Symbolic Cabals gain +1 to their teamwork roll.

Reminders

• Low Gnosis People must keep track of their Rolls versus Fatigue (World of Darkness pg. 179-180) You may only rest for 10 minutes between each roll and Gnosis 1-2 with casting times of 3 hours per roll, must be weary of this. After twenty-four hours, at every six hour interval, you must make the roll and take the cumulative -1 penalty.

Rituals (Extended Castings) of a Month or Longer

Currently Rituals are recorded on the character sheet and need to be re-rolled and re-recorded as they expire. You can opt in to an 'average success' equation where the pool doesn't need to be rolled and renewed periodically. You just count up your pool, divide by 3, and allocate Successes. This average formula will self renew each month.

• The caster must be able to cast the spell with Advanced Spell Factors. Month will be the minimum Duration allowed for the average success and renewal method. This means the minimum pool must be 15 dice to cover Duration plus 1 for Potency.
• Record you pool, the successes, and the allocation of successes on your sheet and we'll call it persistent/auto-renewed.
• Only Rituals using the 'Average Successes will auto-renew. No rolling for max suxx and calling that result the one that renews
