West, Ankh and Circe return to the Neidan’s Sanctum to meet up with Azrael, Stone and Kai. Information is exchanged about Stone’s run in with the guardians and there is the thought that they have seized control of the city.

West explains that Ankh will be joining them because of her interest in the arrows. She is welcomed with the warning about Kai’s obsession and West’s dislike of Chinese food. She sides with Kai for the time being.

Kai asks if the group would be going with him to Avalon later that night, due to the interesting events that seemed to happen every time they split up.

They are interrupted with a ping of business which kicks the elders of the group into action, leaving Ankh confused at the sudden change of mood. They handle Ankh’s move to the sanctum before heading over to Avalon^[1].
