The mage can lower one of his Physical Attributes or that of a base or median life form. The mage might wishto appear infirm or feeble.
The mage can lower one dot per success, up to a maximum amount equal to his Life dots. If cast upon a base or median life form, he must spend one Mana and the target’s Stamina is subtracted from the spellcasting dice pool (resistance is reflexive).
Guardians of the Veil Rote: Infirmity
People who might feel perfectly justified harassing a hale and hardy man could suddenly experience a change of heart when confronted with a frail and limping one. Also, it is occasionally beneficial to be underestimated, or to be able to render a lesser beast too weak to cause harm.
Adamantine Arrow Rote: Paralyzed with Fear[1]
Adamantine Arrow mages use a different rote to cripple guard animals and the like.
It is Said that the mighty war cries of a powerful warrior can turn the bowels of his foes to cold water, and set his knees to quaking. With this rote, the Arrow can literally paralyze his foe with fear. The precise manifestation is up to the mage himself: he may cause his foe's strength to abandon him from fear, or set his hands and feet to quaking or cause his enemy's breath and very situation to abandon him.
