May I introduce...

Ms. Claire Adelaide Tunt was born to the New American Aristocracy in New York City – not that they'd admit to such a label – and she enjoyed the unusual privilege of being the offspring of a merger between political influence and monetary power. Politics in a 'democracy' was unstable compared to the relative safety of owning industry – railroads, print, the cartels that only insignificant liberal activists whined about controlling the country. The general public knew, in theory, that there was a 1% or some such. But they were weak and easily swayed by fashions and the like – another business that padded the coffers of family, friends and associates. Quite the elaborate maze, it was, and she was born to a Minotaur.

Her family accepted all of her minor rebellions in exchange for ultimately guiding her life down an appropriate path - and so, despite dalliance in Fencing, Punk Rock, Wicca, and so on, she ultimately ended up as a Masters Degreed professional. She thoroughly enjoys fine dining, opera, and just about every other uppercrust cliché her parents introduced her to. Her sexual interests are exclusively Lesbian - if she had her druthers, the only men she'd ever have to deal with would have been her Father and her old Hair Dresser. Her rather aggressive tendency to initiate stare downs with those who displease her reaches a fever pitch in the presence of men's catcalls. To date, she has resisted the urge to literally castrate anyone with her fencing equipment.

Dabbling with Wiccan groups led to the interest of the woman who would be her Sire. A longstanding mover and shaker of the Northeast American Circle of the Crone, she was convinced that Claire could be cultivated into a perfect political asset. Unfortunately, Claire does not have the slightest inkling of genuine faith, and would likely have grown out of her Occult phase entirely, if she were still alive. Her materialist tendencies were quite aggravating to her mistress, who ultimately decided to send her west in the hopes Ms. Tunt would grow to appreciate the Crone, or remain out of her hair forever.

A Resumé of Sorts

Apart from being an heiress, a genius, and a head-turner, she is a financial mastermind with a BA and MA in Economics. She is also fluent in Mandarin, having spent a good deal of time in Beijing before her embrace.
