Ollie

Ollie was an Acanthus Apostate who claimed allegiance to no Order. Very easy going, he enjoyed spending his time at the skate park and his skills on a board were quite impressive.

The Thing

Ollie was asked by a young friend at the skate park at Granite Park if he could search for his missing brother. Ollie finally found the kid, dead and mutilated, in a rail yard. Using Time magic to look back in time he watched a large, hooded, dark figure - whose mere presence gave Ollie the chills - extract the boy's eyeballs and eat them.

Swearing to get to the bottom of this, he traveled to the Rage where he was advised by Jammer to seek the help of a Sleepwalker named Jenner at Mercy Hospital. There he joined with two other Mages and the three of them went to Granite Park to search for clues.

After asking some questions and meeting back at their vehicle they came under sniper fire from a nearby rooftop. They barely escaped intact.

Later Ollie would climb to the rooftop and, again utilizing Time, glimpsed back to see the sniper just as the shooter was attack from behind by the same creature that had eaten his friend's eyes, or so Ollie had assumed. In the pocket of the dead sniper Ollie found a note that read Ryan North - Sac U.

Allies and Apprentices

Ollie went to the College where he met Ryan North, a student who had recently come into possession of a mysterious book. He was not alone in his interest in Ryan, as he also met a mysterious man there who seemed to be watching Ryan as well.

Gaining Ryan's trust by pledging his assistance to him he and Ollie left the library where they had met and outside encountered two Mages - Ghoster and Zero of the Free Council. The four of them go to the Museum of Anthropology and Antiquity where they deliver Ryan's book into the hands of the Mysterium. There Ollie explains the situation to Ankh of the Adamantine Arrow who in turn charges Ollie, Ghoster, and Zero with the task of gathering more information.

Back in Granite Park the group of Mages find an Awakened man who seemed to be lost, amnesiac, and also in his underwear. When he can not remember his name Ollie dubs him Guy Park, as he was a Guy they'd found in the Park.

Returning to the Museum to report on this new development, Ollie is charged by Tyria Primoria to teach both Guy, and also a newly Awakened Moros named Valkyrie, about magic and Awakened life. Ollie accepted as he owed Tyria a favor in return for being taught a Time rote. He even had the geas to show for it. Outside the Museum they find a new ally, an Adamantine Arrow by the name of Logos.

The Battle of Granite Park

Ollie returned to his apartment with Valkyrie and Guy to talk magic with his new students. He receives a text message from Ghoster soon, however that indicated that they had returned to Granite Park and that he and Logos were in danger.

Speeding to the scene in Valkyrie's Volkswagon Bug, they find Ghoster and Logos being attacked in the skate park by what appeared to be zombies. The gate to the park had been blocked by a set of bleachers that had been overturned, and rain poured from the sky making staying on one's feet all but impossible. Despite this Ollie, Guy, and Valkyrie rushed into the park to help the two Mages. By that time it was already too late for Logos, who was torn apart by undead hands before their very eyes. Their attention turned toward rescuing Ghoster, who was already badly injured, from the same fate that Logos had suffered.

Poor footing, bad luck, and the sheer number of undead creatures made this task more difficult than they could have expected. Despite a heroic effort on Ollie's part to strengthen his body with Life and haul Ghoster to safety, the conditions simply made movement too difficult on his companions. Guy fell beneath the weight of the undead horde and was ripped asunder, and it was at that moment that the geas placed on him by Tyria was broken and Ollie became cursed.

Facing the curse, a mass of zombies, and what seemed to be an impossible situation, Ollie fled the scene - leaving Valkyrie and Ghoster for dead, even as Valkyrie struggled to save Ghoster's life.

After The Park

Ollie's failure and subsequent cowardice filled him with depression, and he slipped into a deeply remorseful state. He resolved to avenge all the death and to redeem himself after the shameful happenings at the park. After going around town, telling the long, sad story to anyone who asked, he met with Ankh who took pity and pledged to help.

Ollie joined an expedition of Mages, mainly Adamantine Arrows, who would go into Granite Park to find out what happened.

From the rooftop of the building where the sniper had shot at him that day, Ollie caught a glimpse of a strange figure at the corner of a structure in the park widely used by practitioners of Parkour. Eager to get to the bottom of things, Ollie uses Time to speed his movements - running to intercept this figure.

It turned out that the figure was Logos, or rather a Revenant taking Logos' shape. The undead Mage bombarded Ollie with searing white beams of light. His allies rushed to help him, but they wouldn't make it in time and Ollie was killed by the Logos Revenant's spells.
