Mike Tamwood

Mike Tamwood, a man halfway towards the 30, Awakened some years ago as a Moros, over the years he has noticed to feel the most for the Adamantine Arrow. With some effort he has managed to speak without any accent at all. And his long time spent at the gym gave him a trained body, he is grateful for the result of his sport activities, because next to that he might not be very impressive with his 5'9 height.

The Tamwood Family

It's not just Mike here, he has two dogs, Saarlooswolfhounds, a wolf-dog hybrid originated from the Netherlands and Germany. Mike bought the dogs for several reasons; dogs guard your house, dogs keep you company, they are good listeners and the puppy has a very high -hug me!- rate.

And there is his ghostly ex-boyfriend: Steven Black. When Steven died, he couldn't leave because of his love for Mike. He got killed, the fact that he became a ghost changed a few things, yet do they 'live' together.

Background

Pre-awakening

A stormy night early September, 1986, a child is born, now living under the shadow name Mike Tamwood. He doesn’t speak a lot about the first years of his life, whether it be because he doesn’t think of them as interesting enough, or perhaps too interesting for others. Mike’s life begins in his teenage years, the time he finds out about his sexual preferences. He falls for men, later on, a specific one, Steven Black. Where did they meet each other? Well, where half the gays meet, at the gym. Wet muscled bodies, need I say more? However, even Dallas has it’s straight-extremists, life can be hard sometimes.

Sometimes even, a life ends. It came unexpected for the couple, a night out, having “fun”. Until the certain moment one has to go home… and meets other drunk guys. A confrontation is easy to start, but hard to finish positively. They both get beaten up, and end up in the hospital. Only one of them got out alive.

One Dead, One Awakened

Suddenly the hospital turned into a morgue, or was it just an illusion that everybody looked so dead to him? Still covered with bandages and meanwhile murmuring, he tries to escape several times. After a while, luckily, another mage finds him. Less luckily, this mage doesn’t want to spend a lot of time together with the freshly awakened Mike. The new Moros meets his cabal only twice, although it were long meetings. He learns the mage basics. What follows is that he finds out Steven Black is still somewhere, or more precise, very near to him. Bonded by their abruptly interrupted love, Steven became a ghost, anchored to Mike. It doesn’t take long before other mages in Dallas get to know him. So he finds a more suitable mentor. A Moros Mystagogue named Nix, nowadays not very active with Consilium business. Nix was a wise woman, and nice to Mike. But that couldn’t keep Mike from avenging himself and his boyfriend. Although not openly, he began searching for ways to hurt others with his magic. A thing which can be done quite soon. He walked down the alleys, magically protected, improved weapons, and simply beating guys from who he knew they had harmed homosexual people one way or another.

It didn’t last for long, Nix found out, the Consilium found out. Mike needed to get out.

Arriving in Sacramento

He lived some kind of nomadic life for a while, trying to think of some excuses towards his family. The actual solution wasn’t even a lie. He simply couldn’t live in Dallas anymore, there were a lot of bad memories haunting him there. He wouldn’t want to be reminded of that one night every time he walks the streets. Fate made him end up in Sacramento… why not San Francisco? Well, that was a little too much.
