Honestly she was dredging more through memories of movies she'd seen with similar scenarios to get ideas of questions to ask than any practical experience on her part. Escort missions such as this were more or less new to her.
But some ideas from there were still relevant, probably.

Daniel stays silent. He'd much rather ditch the creepy government-dude and strategize instead of more talking. He looks to the side, wondering how long till they get back to airport.

The helicopter begins it's descent, angling down towards McClellan.

A shrug. "Then it sounds like everything's settled." If Eric chose not to allocate further resources ... then it just meant they had more autonomy.
Including the ability to choose which side to support.

Not having any more questions of her own to ask Slick settled back in her seat and kept a lazy eye on the approaching airport. They'd touch down soon. And then, well, there would be four days for them to plan. Four days to figure out how to best counter the threat posed by these insurgents and, perhaps, the threat posed by the government as well.
