I sort of looked back to see if we had a movie review thread somewhere. And, well couldn't find one.
My son and I just got back from Sherlock Holmes Game of Shadows. Wow...
I'm not entirely sure why it was rated PG13 other than violence that was not any different than Spiderman or Xmen. Not to mention, there's no swearing considering the time period it's set in. If you have kids around 9ish and do let them watch movies similar, then it's ok to take them to this. It was action packed and kept us guessing. My son was on the edge of his seat at one point. It's definitely one to watch or even buy (if you're one to watch them over and over again).
Robert Downy Jr. keeps getting better. I am so glad this guy returned to the world of acting. The over all acting in the movie was brilliant, the choreography of some of the scenes was masterful. I do enjoy how they preplay out in slow stop motion some action parts that you probably would not catch all the details because of their pace. There were some interesting historical details about this as well, even though it was fictitious.
I give this 5 out of 5 stars!
A lot of good trailers too. MIB3 was one and... Rock of Ages... Tom Cruise is the lead... O.o? The new Batman trailer was there Zomg!!! Paranorman... which looked lame... really lame... For my son to say it looked stupid, that's not promising.
(Side note, if you do end up posting in here, it would be awesome if you'd mention if it was kid friendly or not. Someone didn't bother to tell me how bad Watchmen was...)
