Blackbird

Blackbird is a neonate originally hailing from San Jose, where she has been present ever since her Embrace in 1993. Blackbird speaks very little of the woman she once was in life, to the point that it might be a point of suspicion, as she refuses to use her given name from that time, opting for the name she has chosen for herself following the Embrace. However, what little she will say about her life amongst Man is that she first used the name as a codename while acting in the interests of the Kindred of San Jose in order to retain anonymity from certain parties.

Appearance

Blackbird stands 5’6” and bears a slender build. She is burnette, with wavy hair that cascades just a little past her shoulders when it isn’t in a bun or a messy braid. She appears to enjoy punk aesthetics, likely due to her own identification with the subculture in the early 1990s, but tends to dress more formally for Courts and occasionally prefers more subdued fashion. Blackbird also favors liberal use of eyeliner and eyeshadow, enjoying the contrast it has with her pale blue eyes.

Blackbird is a Glutton for Praise. Blackbird possesses an ego that is predisposed and easily swayed by praise and compliments of her ability. This abnormally high level of self-assurance often gets her into trouble. It is difficult for Blackbird to refuse a request when her ego is substantially stroked. Likewise, she also finds it difficult to refuse to take part in actions, even those which might put her in substantial risk, when one goads her through these same methods.
