1501 Consilium should probably be mandatory reading for mage players who are curious about the political aspects of mage. It's a great thread for a lot of reasons.
- Political maneuvering
- Social outrage.
- A lot of characters got to do their thing and shine. Or maybe glare. When people ask what I mean by 'lateral conflict', this is what it is. Many characters got to be involved, on even footing.
- This thread is also a perfect example of what happens when you blow things off and don't pay attention. If you don't read things, there's a chance your character will pay the price IC.
Nous and Panthera Nox are taking the heat for a failed coup -- but the truth is, attempted coup or not, this only happened because most of the people charged with preparing the Lex/Charter didn't read it. They let someone else do the work and signed off on it. So, IC is going to totally be IC (and because we all know it was an attempted coup ) but, BUT, I think we all need to remember that this whole scene, our current lex and charter, all come down to a lot of hard work by Jhet and RebornSeas .
And, to everyone, great, great Scene. Awesome stuff.
p.s. All you players claiming you play social/political characters? Strap up, bitches
