Echoing YYC here Xander best wishes, and I gotta say RPing with you was always a treat, and I wish I got my head around a viable mage when you were STing so I could have experienced those awesome stories!

Man I appreciate the kind words and knowing that I wasn't just entertaining myself. I also always appreciated that you were a rules person, like me, and kept that faith even when they weren't to your liking. I also appreciated that you understood the value of conflict, even though that put us on opposite sides more often than not. Every villain is only as great as their hero. There is a comfort in having the confidence to know another character isn't going to roll over and while the foil may not be the most popular role... it is a vital one.
You will also always have my RP respect for the coolness and classiness of how you rolled with Pixel in that Shard. You've got my OOC respect for sheer fucking tenacity. It absolutely was a ride there for a bit.
I hope you find a place to tell your stories... and a great villain. Or hero.
And now it looks like my turn.
Oh dear.
I wont beat around the bush - there have been some life changes in the background that have reached a tipping point where I can't really commit the necessary time to playing and doing it justice. After nearly 12 years of gaming, I'm having to hang up my pen (well, okay, my keyboard). Consistently writing for an online forum can be quite a feat and it still amazes me at there are so many people able to do just that and continue playing this game, here in this little online community.
Somewhere, somehow, the sites original creators must be smiling. Edge of Darkness has stood the test of time.
Shout out to
West who ran the site for so long and was the force behind so many fantastic characters, great stories, and much mentoring with the ST role. Cannot thank you enough.
To Orianna and Youngblood who took over and kept the fire burning Saber Sloth my Changeling ST and along with Cayce my fellow conspirators!
To Chrisie who first gave me a shot as an ST (in the Vampire Venue)
And to a whole lot of other people with whom I have interacted down the years
I wont be gone completely, but I'm going to just be a lurker from here on in.
Good luck you guys, it has been some of the best fun in my life![]()

I am very sorry to hear this, YumYumCrow. I have greatly enjoyed your writing. I followed you in the Vampire venue for what seemed like years.
I understand what you are saying. Real life is rich and beautiful and I wish you the very best as you move forward.
Thank you for giving us your stories.
I have to say, it is sad to read this. RP with you, and reading your writing has been an honor and a joy beyond words. Your talent as a player and a ST are without match, and I will fondly remember scenes and plots. You will be missed...but never forgotten and the door is always open for you.
It's sad to learn that you must leave, but I understand that sometimes real life takes precedence. It was a pleasure role-playing with you, both as a player and as a storyteller. Wishing you the best in your future endeavors.
Hector, Ingrid, Anatole, Campanella. I've only experiences a fraction of the characters you've given life here but as both a player and an ST I've had some wonderfully close interactions with your characters.
Hector welcomed me here in Werewolf, Ingrid in Changeling. Campanella and Phoenyx moved in wholly different circles but he was a fascinating character... and then I got to welcome in a new Character in Anatole when Rhodes was Autumn King.
Take care YYC!
I echo the sentiments of many people here, YYC. It was a true pleasure to interact with many of the characters you've played over the years, I consider myself fortunate to have been able to particapte with some of them in varying capacities, be that Hector, Campanella, and, to an admittedly lesser degree, Anatole.
Best of luck on your future endeavors and we'll see you on Discord!
Yumyumcrow! It's a sad day indeed to see your message pass through the goodbye thread.
I'm going to miss you and your characters, you've been an amazing ST and Gaming buddy and just a good friend. Hopefully we can see you on the Discord once and a while, and like everyone else has said when things calm down, you're always welcome back! <3
