Have you ever read To Reign in Hell by Steven Brust?
I haven't... but then, I haven't had much time to read lately
I've been trying to read the latest Wheel of Time book, but I can't seem to find time (har, har).
On a side note... I'm not trying to be corny, but I like reading the stuff on here, even the Scenes I'm not involved in.
I tried reading to Reign in Hell, but I just couldn't get into it. I REALLY didn't like how god was portrayed AT ALL, and it rubbed me wrong. Brokedown palace on the other hand was great. His Khaavren romances took some getting used to with the strange style, but I really liked them.
You know, you're like one of five people I know that have read that How about Katherine Kurtz?
I enjoyed Mordant's Need -- and I have several friends that like the Covenant stuff... but I just never could get into it.
I've not read any Kurtz. Though I probably should.
I recently read some John Gardner James Bond books. They were quite exciting. Had all the old elements of the older Bond films.
Not sure if I'd recommend them, but they were fun.
Ah. I figured for sure if anyone else had read them, it would have been you. I've yet to meet another Kurtz reader ^^
Hey Barachiel
The first two Dresden books are rough around the edges but still good! I've definitely not reread that series at least three times..nope never
I'm on my second re-read. I just discovered them last year.
Prior to that, Roger Zelazny's Amber series held that spot in my heart.
I'm just sad the man passed away before he could do a third series. The first is completely self-contained, but the 2nd set was CLEARLY setting up for another.
