It's the same old, same old at the Wells Fargo Tower, and the only entertainment to be had is the vicarious, voyeuristic pleasure of inventing stories about the items left in the cars. As the next car pulls up, Dizzy wipes ineffectually at the sheen of sweat of his face.

Things are looking up: the set of legs that emerge from the black convertible are almost as beautiful and well-formed as the Aston Martin Vanquish. Dizzy's in luck: he's up. There's a moment where he could swear the hazel eyes are studying him, but then she's gone in a swish of silk and some citrus-sweet parfumer's confection.

As he pulls out, one last glance, but she's on the phone and the valet driver has faded into working-class scenery again. With a sigh, Dizzy turns his attention back to business -- and thats when he notices the business card taped to the clear face of the instrument cluster. The handwriting is cute, purple script with hearts dotting the i's. The message... not so much.

The car's stolen and I just called the police.

The eyes made Dizzy smile; an easy action that got him plently of tips. Actually, the car itself made him smile. A Vanquish? Now, that's a sweet ride, he thought, getting into the driver's seat and feeling how comfy it felt.

I bet this goes like shi...

    He sees the note.

    Shit.

The smile doesn't fade as the car purrs as he pulls away....past where he should park it, and away from the premises.

    Let the good times roll.

As they say, there's good news, and there's bad news.

The bad news is, Dizzy's in one of the most populous parts of the city, and it isn't long before he hears sirens. 100 meters ahead is a four way intersection, with a cop sitting to cross Dizzy's at a red light. Aaaaaand, he's looking at Dizzy.

You'd think there were more black $200K convertibles, wouldn't you? Besides the city's Comptroller's.

Now that he's moving, he can also see the nav unit has a destination plugged into it -- east; the Port, deep water ship channel.

The good news is... Dizzy looks good.

Dizzy catches the cop looking his way and is still smiling. He even gives him a little 'wassup' head nod.

Dizzy then pulls away towards the sat-nav destination, trying his hardest not to tear the shit out of the engine.

    Not yet, anyway.

Piggy eyes follow Dizzy as he slides through the busy intersection; moments later, the barking chirp of a siren blares out.

    Damn radios!

It's a busy intersection, which gives Dizzy a few moments.

First, he needs to get through downtown; then make a run to the port before the helicopters can lock onto him.

Getting out of downtown is usually done one of two ways:

Ass crazy driving, or slicing and dicing through back streets and garages. Either way, he's got to outrun roadblocks -- and shake this guy on his ass.

    1) Shaking the popo will be a Contested Extended Task, like a footrace. Dizzy needs five suxx OVER what the pursuer rolls.
    - Rolls will be DEX + DRIVE + 4 (Vanquish)
    - Dizzy gets a freebie first roll as the popo gets through the intersection.
    - Dizzy can add a J-Turn (HPD 2) by taking -1 to any of his rolls, which will penalize his pursuer's roll by -3.

Dizzy needs to shake him within 10 Turns to avoid appropriate road blocks from being set up.

Go ahead and make 6 rolls, then I'll make 5 and we'll compare.

    2) Then we'll move to gettng out of downtown ^^

The sirens kicked Dizzy into life again. Months of parking cars, working at garages, acting as a damned cab driver just to make an honest living. Nothing in this God-forsaken dump could compare to driving away veryfast from the Five-0.

Obviously though, even Dizzy understood that the right car also helped. In this case, the Vanquish certainly lived up to his expectations as it become more than a car. In Dizzy's mind, it was an extension of his body. Heck, it was more than that. It roard in his soul, making him feel alive!

"WOOOOOO!" he yelled as he pulled the mother of all J-Turns on his way to meet up with whoever the hell wanted to see him. Surely, it would be bad form to turn up with the police on his tail? Gotta do this with style.

    So, he did.

    6 rolls, 34 suxx

Despite driving with skill and luck he'd never possessed before, the police zips past the street Dizzy J'ed on; by the time he's reversed, the car is long gone.

    Mama there go that man.

Dizzy can still hear sirens, though...

Dizzy can either haul ass or roll stealthy.

Hauling ass: Accrue 30 successes in 10 Turns, at -3 on the rolls. Any total failure on a single roll resets total successes to ZERO. DEX+Drive.

Stealthy: Accrue 40 successes in 10 Turns, at no penalty. Any total failure on a single roll resets total successes to ZERO. INT+Drive.

Dizzy hits the roads toward the port, getting out of downtown before it's locked down. In the rear view mirror, he can see two specks in the sky, canvassing the area to see which side of town he's exited on.

    It's almost over, isn't it?

The navigation system is pointing him toward a container yard... at least, if he's going to go where it says.

Looking back, Dizzy gives himself a smile, without a doubt his best feature. Glancing at the navi-system, he decides the best course would be to follow its directions into the container yard. Whoever stole this car obviously wanted to get his attention. It would be such a shame to waste an opportunity.
