When he lifted his head, she offers him a soft smile, “Not a dumb thing to say, just didn’t consider all the possibilities.” She replies, her tone still upbeat. “But hey, we are only human, can’t be expected to know it all.” She adds. “And you’d be surprised how hard it is to scare some kids, even just sitting and talking or reading with them makes their day.” Maybe she was speaking from experience.

She looks to Star and Asp, “We should prob say hi and offer congrats, you know, do the whole friendly thing.” She says with a grin. “Then I say we head out, maybe take the car on the highway, find a clear straight way and see what it can do.”

Striker smiled at her forgiving words. Her wondered about her comment about only being human. Sure they were human, but they weren't just human. Dammit, he did want to know it all.

He nodded in agreement at saying hi and finished his beer. As he put the glass down his face was lit up at Faye's suggestion of taking the car out on the highway.

"That sounds awesome ay. Can't wait to see it really go." Striker said with a grin as he stood up to head over to the other table.
