(1110) The Imperial Ballroom

The main ballroom, the Imperial, is a two story affair. The top half is done in soft white diaphanous curtains and drapes; white roses in vases and runners over the railings. Below, crimson walls are splashed with red curtains, and waves of dry ice fog billow out onto the floor. Where above there are roses, below there are small braziers with decorative fire and flames. The theme is clear: above, heaven; below, hell. It's also quite clear from the music and crowded dance floor which guests favor.

Aspect of the Predator | The Blush of Life

Dillon Connery makes his way into the Imperial Ballroom first, as this year's most popular star spangled man. The costume had been a little pricey but by no means extravagant; the deluxe model, with a separate pair of gloves and a shield to buy. But that still wasn't quite good enough for the Gangrel Priscus. He wanted to stand out. So, utilizing careful application of dry brushed black fabric paint and sandpaper, the outfit and accessories get much closer to looking like well-used and battle-tested movie props. With his usual modest confidence and intensity, he manages to pull it off.

There was nothing to be done about the mask; it just looked silly. And got left behind.

Anyone need a hero?

He'd prepared for the evening's events by hunting first and foremost, so that any blood burned to Counterfeit Life wouldn't leave him dangerously hungry in the midst of partying mortals. Dillon begins to circulate, taking in both the dιcor and the other patrons with a casual fascination. Striding as a beacon through the ghouls and horrors rhythmically roaming about in 'hell', it's hard to keep a serious face.

In following the Path of the Damned Centurion, I don't think this is quite what Longinus had in mind...

Daniella had a hard time deciding what costume to wear to the nights events, but had decided on the Red Riding Hood costume, liking the feel of the fabric and velvet hooded cape.

Before she enters, she forces the blood into her body, feeling the flush in her cheeks, and knowing the color it added to her pale skin. She walks into the Imperial Ballroom, taking in the decorations and others gathered. She decides to keep her hood up, and walks the room.

He was not used to going to parties, especially not ones this big. He looked way too young to really pull of the Indy look, but he went with it anyways.

Way to be the stereotype.

He was feeling a bit nervous, since he had spent most of his life in libraries instead of ballrooms. He felt like he needed a small confidence boost, so he muttered a few quick words as he walked from where the cab had dropped him off to where the crowd was gathered outside the ballroom. Once he was done he walked through the front door with a sly grin on his face. Much better.

As he walked into the main level he took a moment to observe the decorations. As if Hell was a party...they have no idea. He was feeling slightly more confident than before, but was still a bit anxious. He smiled and tipped his hat at people as he passed them on his way to the bar. If I'm going to do this, I'm gonna need a drink.
