History
Lynx, as he came to be known, is a private investigator, an urban gumshoe that got himself kicked off the police force several years ago after a debacle involving an undercover operation. He stands 5'11" with sandy brown hair and a rugged disheveled look like he hasn't slept or just got out of bed. He has hazel eyes and a stern expression.
He was born in Portland, OR, the son of an abused housewife and fast-talking attorney. Having despised his father for his treatment of his mother and how he would exonerate criminals who should have been guilty, Lynx enlisted in the police force to make sure the bad guys were incriminated properly.
When he was transferred to Sacramento after making Detective, Lynx got involved in an undercover operation because he still wasn't well-known in town. He got involved with a woman during the case who revealed who and what he was. The case was blown and the criminals got off scott-free. He then started his services independently as a private-eye hoping to make up for his rookie mistake and uphold justice in his own way. It wasn't long after that that he recieved a mysterious job offering by a government agency, Department of Homeland Security, Geosciences Division. It promised a decent salary another chance in the field which was just a step up from following around cheating husbands.
Recent History
His partner, Derevko, has since been somewhat of a mentor to Lynx as he adjusts himself to his new career. Their first case began on his first day when they drove to the hospital to check on a confessed murder suspect, Grant Donaldson. The man had supposedly killed several victims including a notable Dr. Hertz, a biochemist working with the US Government. During the interview he claimed to have been hearing voices that forced him to commit the murders. When pressed further he attempted to bite through his own tongue in an apparent attempt at suicide.
Hoping to find more evidence at the crime scene, the two agents went to Dr. Hertz's home where the bodies were found. The basement of the home also functioned as a laboratory and had recently been combed over by a biohazard team. And yet the place was trashed, having been broken into and large letters written across the wall accusing the government of experimentation linked to the voices. They found a note that confirmed much the same. It was assumed that Donaldson must have left the message before being taken into custody, blaming the voices on the government out of paranoia and trying to silence them by stuffing bodies in the walls.Avatar | warning.pngEmpty strings are not accepted. |
