[[Katrin Byeli]]'s Coronation in 2009 held at the Iceland Skating Rink<ref>[http://nwod.org/forum/showthread.php?t=4265 Winter Coronation 2009]</ref> ==Event== The Winter Festival of 2009 was held within the Iceland Skating Rink and was most notable for the shooting of [[King Crunk]], the Spring Sovereign following the coronation of [[Katrin Byeli]] to the ruling Queen of Sacramento. The coronation started without incident as many of the freehold's changelings arrived to pay their respects as the Court of Autumn gave was to the Court of Winter. The whole venue was hired for freehold business and marked as a private party to anyone wishing to get in, however, [[Big Swilla]] was standing as doorman, just in case. A huge Christmas tree was the main focal point with many presents wrapped beneath it, each one purchased by Queen Byeli as gifts for her guests. Also, the actual skating rink could be used by the guests with Duncan on hand to give out skates. As the evening continued but before the actual coronation, the Summer courtiers in attendance each received a text message from the Summer King, [[Harry Turkleton]]. It seemed he would not be attending due to the fact he 'hate's Winter.' Also, [[Horace Albert Liebowitz]] made [[Rick Pereg]] his Legate of Mists, the spokesperson for the Leaden Mirror. Following the coronation, [[Rust Mane]] approached [[Katrin Byeli]] informing her that it was his belief that [[Harry Turkleton]] was a Loyalist, earning the Winter Queen's instant ire and dismissing him abruptly. Not long after, King Liebowitz left the ceremony followed swiftly by King Crunk. The festival continues until the sound of gunfire erupts from outside the skating rink and the sound of a vehicle accelerating away at high speed. King Crunk, along with his entourage, lay on the sidewalk riddled with bullet holes but still breathing. Confusion escalated with changelings performing first aid until [[Alice White]] shouted at Queen Byeli, accusing her of not acting quick enough.
