Tam smiles at Zilker as he dodges a nomination.
"I am even in the running for that kind of responsibility."
She glances at Ankh, then Tug, before looking at Animus.
"I mostly know you through reputation, but I trust your judgement."
Tug chuckles at Zilker's 'colored hats' joke, much relieved that he hadn't offended the top Guardian in the city. He greets Ankh and Tam as they join the discussion before showing Animus his support. "Sure, Wild Man," he says, grinning broadly. "I got no problem with that."
Zilker nods that he would be amicable to this decision, but looks to Ankh to see if she has an objection or if she would be contending for consideration.
Ankh shrugs. "I didn't even want to be a Provost, nevermind a Councilor. That's fine with me."
Animus nods. "Then we're agreed." His gaze travels from one banner to the next, the absense of the rest of the Living Stones acutely felt; finally stopping under the Moros banner; a single mage standing awkwardly by himself. Joshua should have been there. A Councilor position is poor compensation for friends I can trust. Finally, his attention returns to his fellow Thyrsoi.
Tam followed Animus' gaze to the Moros banner.
"He looks lonely. Is there really only one Moros in the Consilium?"
"You remember Joshua, don't you? He's a Moros." Animus frowns, his sadness readily apparent. "It really is too bad he had to leave."
Tug looks over at Ash. "Well, since we're agreed Animus is gonna be the Councilor, and Ash knows he's gonna be Councilor, let's invite him over so he isn't left standing all by himself," he says, anxious to turn the conversation away from Joshua before Animus becomes melancholic again. Tug waves his big mitts at Ash to join them.
