Arriving much later than he wanted, Jayant had spent a little time thanking the Dark Mother at the Old Crone temple, his renewed faith filling his heart and soul with nothing but devotion and duty.
And yet he was late, forcing the Hierophant to arrive alone. The old, pre-vision Naga would have begun a self-deprecating chain of thoughts which threatened to ruin his evening. Now, he just laughed it off as a strange twist of events. Being late had meant being jumped by two would-be thieves and having to defend himself in such a manner that meant he could also feed from thier unconcious states.
It was all most satisfactory.
Slipping into court and feeling his Naga hiss at all the Beasts around him, Jayant had steeled himself previously. Besides, he wasn't going to let his would be rivals spoil his evening. Wearing the same jacket he wore to the previous court, Jayant felt comfortable in his attire that included black pants and the slip-on-shoes-which-squeaked.
Moving besides Circe, he gives her a respectful bow.
"My apologies for being tardy, Hierophant, I had an unexpected delay." He tries not to smirk at the taste of his attacker's blood.
