Gun ranges are not exactly common in Sacramento, at least compared to some locations. However, that just meant those that remained had upped their game. And had certain rental options.

Shotguns, pistols, rifles, and even some fully automatic options for rent were possible. The latter with more severe munition restrictions. Not that this was what the gunbunny of Summer was operating right now. Nor did she look much like a gunbunny: denim jacket, trousers, safety goggles and earmuffs. This isn't an alluring set of attire.

Circe was familiar with plenty of calibers. But for the current plan? 22 trainer it was. And her own dolled up .45 revolver with an owl etched into the handle. It was for giving Jack a lesson in how recoil worked in the guns. The 22 trainers had pretty much none and not just to Circe. Like pellet guns could have more. The revolver? It had a kick. Which was why she demonstration shot was a single bullet, safer.

It took time for her to get the revolver in. Not for security or safety reasons, no. Because the range had a gunsmith and they'd been very eager to take a look at it. For quite a while.
