What was yesterday? National Talk like a Pirate Day! What is today? Well, not Talk like a Pirate Day, but it is Friday night in downtown Sacramento and the bar scene is extending Talk like a Pirate Day of course! Each bar had their own specials on rum and Pirate themed drinks going on, encouraging people to just let loose and have fun! There were even talks of discounts offered to those who even dressed up, though no one was confirming it. But everywhere you looked, there was Pirates of every shape and size, every type of costume, some drunk, some not, but everyone was just having a blast!
Being it was downtown Sacramento, there was a strict prohibit on weapons of any type, fake or not. They couldn’t afford to take chances and spend the whole night checking everyone, so a wide ban was in place, If you wanted in, best no bring anything. Real or fake.
Sera had talked about something like this months ago, she had been preparing by making a costume. Because of course she would make a costume. Well, except the leather pants, leather was a bitch to sew. So she bought those, saved herself the headache in the long run. It had been a fun costume to put together, pulling inspiration from various books and online sites, she had been able to make something all her own. Something that fit her perfectly and just looked amazing on her. Now the coat? The coat was her favorite with all the detailing and the way it hugged her body. She had spared no expense.
Texts had been sent out to Sonnie Wu and Circe , because no pub crawl was complete without the girls, if the girls were free of course. She also sent a message to Chambers and @Philip , after all, they had been there for the whole Pirate talk and it felt right to let them know what was going on. Sure, she could have done something at her coffee shop, but with the bar scene doing something, it would be more fun and include rum, so certainly a win!
So Sera, or Sarah, could be found, laughing with some random fellow pirates, her musical, angelic laugh carrying among the crowd as she seemed right at home with strangers talking to her. She wasn’t drunk, but she did have a drink in her hand and a wide friendly smile on her face.
