Club Ember was in the midst of renovations, as far as the public knew. It would be decorated twice; once for tonight, and once for it's Grand Opening.

Everything had been done in white, except for a slice of red down the wall at the entrance. A nod to the coming day, the red swatches ended in a small stand with a large glass bowl full of large red and white roses with pins. The red roses are pinned together in pairs for couples, whereas the white roses are singles.

The club proper has a single catwalk and stage for dancing, the rest of it being a mixture of open area and small tables.

Softly, the sounds of Juno Reactor's version of Traci Lords' "Control" give the Court a pulse.

Ajax and Katrina

The suit felt odd. Even when the large Gangrel made an effort to fit in with Kindred society and do the whole "dress to impress" thing he preferred darker colors. However when he'd seen the outfit that Katrina had picked out for herself, well suddenly white didn't seem like such a bad color after all. She even helped him find an outfit for the evening, it wasn't really something he'd have normally liked but the look on her face when she'd seen him emerge from the fitting room in it ... well she deserved to have her man looking decent for a change.

As the couple got to the door Ajax knew Katrina could feel his hand tense. She looked at him and simply smiled, doing a good job at hiding her own nerves in order to calm his. The large Gangrel leans down and whispers something into Katrina's ear and then opens the door into Ember with his free hand. He holds out his arm, like a gentleman from an old movie, and leads her into the area set aside for the Official Court.

Ajax leads Katrina to the table with the roses and pins. Taking one of the sets of red roses, he pins one to her dress, taking special care not to damage the dress. She does the same with his suit, the crimson shade of the flower standing out against the pale white of their outfits.

More figures filter in;

Erika Brady, Regent of Citrus Heights, is dressed in a form fitting suit, with her hair done in severe, business-like fashion. She pauses at the roses, then carefully takes a white one and pins it to her lapel. Looking around, she fixes her sights on Conner and approaches. Despite her appearance, her walk is an elegant glide. Ever the Mekhet, she takes in the watch and arches a questioning eyebrow.

Argent, Regent of the Ridiculous, is dressed in a white hotel bathrobe and white slippers. He takes two red roses and pins them to the bathrobe, clearly hoping to find a more suitable place for the second. Stopping at the 'coat check', he divests himself of several weapons, as well. One must be ready to defend themselves if one is going to walk down the street dressed so, no?

Dog, Hound of South Sacramento, has turned out looking mildly presentable. A white shirt with white jeans and carefully cut hair. Apparently Roxie wants her Hound looking halfway decent at Court. He ignores the roses, and takes a moment to look around. Spotting Erika, he moves in a wide circle around her, as if stalking prey.

Anton entered Ember alone. He felt the urges and appetites inside him quiver and tug in response to the bass. His fingers began to twitch, but then fell into rhythm as the Beast acclimated.

Anton jacked this man's suit.

The suit he wore - which he'd gone through hell to acquire - was white and immaculate. He kept what remained of the rose in his pocket, absently kneading the sharp stem with his thumb.

He hated these things, with their pageantry and their peacocks, but he recognised their purpose, even if it paled next to the purpose he considered his own. The Haunt moved languidly through the club, glancing around at the other arrivals, looking for a familiar face.

"Well enough although an escort would have been nice," Erika replies, giving Conner a reproachful look.

"You're looking dapper this evening, despite this not really being our color," she adds, plucking at her lapel. Her eyes drift downward to Conner's wrist, but she doesn't say anything more.
