"Dango? They're little dumplings on a stick. Usually three to a stick, multicolored. Very cute Japanese food! You might've seen them in anime." Sonnie nodded while busting a move. "They're yummy!"

"Duchess of Danishes it is!" the Baroness of Burritos approved!

Sonnie was apparently doing the Robot. Why? Who knew. The Monkey was enjoying herself, and she'd rarely was ever embarrassed by her own public behavior.

[Seraphina]

At hearing dangos were little dumplings on a stick her face lights up, “Oh! Those sound adorable and yummy!” she could totally get behind those now. “Not gonna lie, kinda want some now. Do they come in different flavors?” Cause eating while drinking was always good.

Was that the robot? Laughing, she tries to join in with her friend, clearly enjoying herself.

“Did we want to get some water? Head back to the table?” water would be good.

[Circe]

Circe joins, badly, in doing the robot, "Domo. Origato. Miss. Roboto," with her words being as stilted as her movements.


"Dango, dango, dango? Familiar?" Circe is certainly tipsy. "Oh! Rango! Johnny Depp!" Circe turns to Sonja Wu, "Arrr, wait, no. That'd be stupid fer them ta be related." Then looks back to Seraphina as she asks a flavourful question. "Ooooh, that's a flavourful question. Do they Sonny?"


Water? There was water now? Circe stops the bad robot dance to look up in confusion, swaying a little. Sweat and tequila, despite what spaghetti Westerns imply, are not a good combination.

Yeah, Sonnie laughed her ass off at Circe trying to do the Robot with her.

"Water sounds good! Let's hydrate!" She nodded, and gestured at the table before heading over there.

After sitting down, she smiled and nodded again, "Yes. The traditional three flavors are color coordinated! Red, which is red bean paste, yellow, which is eggs, and green, which is green tea." She thought for a second before adding, "Red bean paste is tastier than it sounds."

"Anyway," she flagged for a waiter, "There's local places that sell dango if you ever wanna try some. Osaka-ya is a great little Japanese grocery store. They also make fresh mochi! Then there's the Mahoroba Japanese Bakery." The Beast seemed to know where to get any sort of unique foods in this city.

[Seraphina]

Now Sera was one to admit she had a hard time with Circe’s references at times. But this? This time she was totally fucking lost. An eyebrow popped, “Huh?” usually she doesn’t say anything, but maybe it was the drinks, “I’m not following.” A helpless shrug.

Laughing, she reaches out for the Summer’s hand, “Come on.” The elf needed some water.

Following behind Sonnie, pulling Circe behind her, and sits once they get there. Fanning herself she picks up a glass of water, taking a couple big gulps. Dancing was sweating work!

Setting the glass down, “Never had red bean paste, but I completely trust you when it comes to food. You say it’s good, it’s good! So now we are definitely going out for those soon!” cause now she had to try it.

“Ok, that settles it, we’re doing a Japanese day! Eating all things Japanese! We wear comfy stretchy clothes and eat until we need to be rolled home!” she declares with a laugh. “Or, if we want,” she begins, “we call for takeout and do a movie night with them! Or both! Both can work too!” picking up the shot she hadn’t taken yet and drinking it. The movie night and takeout already planned out in her mind.

Looking around the room, “So, anyone catching the eye tonight?”

[Circe]

Circe follows, because intoxicated! The water is helping. It wasn't like she'd ordered triple sized shots. They'd been double.


As for Sonja's assurance that red bean paste tastes better than it sounds? "Well, with a name like that, it'd have ta."


"I'd prefer ta avoid some of the stuff," Circe had done business with overseas partners. Some of it she was sure was just supposed to be weird out others for intimidation/trolling. But that wasn't what she meant, "Don't like green tea." She didn't. Tasted horrible, "Even cream and honey don't make it work fer me. Movie sounds like a conspiracy. Draft. Plan."


"Which eye?" She smirks at Seraphina, "I've no place ta lift any phones ta hide if ya mean that," she is joking. Well, mostly joking. The screens and cameras would be good for parts if she really had gone through with the ultimate techno ninja armor thing. "And I wasn't boxing back there," she drinks down half her water as she jerks a thumb towards the dance floor, "So not the eye of the tiger, did I get, either or stuff."

"That sounds great!" Sonnie approved of the idea of a Japanese food party. Or any kind of food party, really.

Once they have their water, she drank some. Ah, refreshing. Also good for preventing hangovers. "Okay, so dango, mochi, sushi... Oh, we gotta have some takoyaki! Sooooo yummy!" She nodded vigorously. "I know where to get all the best stuff!"

[Seraphina]

Hearing Circe say she didn’t like green tea, “Then we’ll have to get all kinds of takeout menus, and find stuff you like! We can have a whole ass buffet!” the Nix was sounding excited about this. “A little bit of this and a little bit of that!” it would be good to have a movie night with her friends. Just what a broken heart needed.

“Well, depends on which eye you want to use.” She tosses back. Then realizes it didn’t really make sense, but, whatever. Finishing the water, she picks up her cocktail, taking a sip, “Just seems like ages since I got to flirt!” well, not completely true. She’s flirted when she had to, but never for fun. Cause she had been married. A hand absently touches the engagement ring on her right hand. Maybe flirting for fun was, well, fun!

“Awesome!” this was going to be fun! “Just give me a list of what I need to order, and I’ll get it all ordered! Oh, and if we should invite anyone else.” She was open to inviting others, or just keeping it the three of them.

"Oh! We should hit one of those twenty-four hour diners when we're done here!" did she care about wearing this dress to some diner? Nope! Especially if they had pancakes!

[Circe]

"Takout keeps us from being taken out by the drinks, oh ho ho ho!" She drinks more water. It was a solution at any rate. "Oooh, should we make it a hobby night too? Get them sketches fer the outfits going too? We, uh, talked about sketchy scales by mail, or something something something drunk side, I dee kay."


Yeah, still drunk.


"Ooooh, wandering eyes," she leans forward and, well, shakes her booty slowly. Circe is a Fairest, but she doens't have any attention on her right now, "Maybe cause some trouble, a little stumble, oh ho ho ho! Just avoid it when there's cars." She needed to work on it herself. She was a Fairest who wasn't good at talking her way out of trouble. It was embarrassing that time, even if the riot she caused was hilarious.


To be fair though, that had been a great distraction for delaying cops from a place. Get enough pretties trying to fix a broken limo, the boys in blue ALL try to be their wrench knights in shining armor.


The laugh probably didn't help, though she sits back down fully, still fuzzy. Circe had her fill of water. She'd still some shots left over, yay for lazy staff! She reclaimed the shot, "Woot! Yes, do the diners have tequila too? Wait, not likely. More now? More now, oh ho ho ho." Circe nods to herself and will try to flag for more.

"Flirt all you want! You got every right and every opportunity!"

The Steepscrambler nodded happily and drank some more water, already assembling a shopping list in her head. So many delicious foods, so little headspace.

"A diner sounds great! I wish there was a Waffle House around here. Those are fun!" Sonnie grinned.
